Job Summary
Electronic Arts is seeking a Technical Writer for their Frostbite game engine team. This 12-month temporary, hybrid role involves creating and maintaining technical documentation and learning resources for game creators. The writer will collaborate with engine developers to translate complex technical information into clear, accessible content, improve existing documentation, and contribute to various projects. The position requires 3+ years of experience in technical writing for software or games, with a focus on clear communication and content management.
Must Have
- Work with distributed teams to create and maintain Frostbite documentation and learning resources.
- Communicate complex technical information in a clear, accessible way.
- Sustain and improve the quality of existing documentation by addressing bugs and feedback reports.
- Contribute to concurrent projects across different teams and deliverables.
- Work with SMEs to learn about, test, use and upskill in engine features and workflows.
- Participate in defining requirements and acceptance criteria for new documentation tools and workflows.
- 3 or more years of experience writing documentation for software, games, or game engines.
- Proven ability to write clear, accurate technical documentation.
- Experience on concurrent documentation projects across multiple product areas.
- Working knowledge of content management systems and version control.
- Open to exploring the use of AI tools and workflows in your daily work.

As a Technical Writer, you'll be part of a distributed team reporting to the Senior Manager of the Frostbite Documentation Team. Together, we help game creators bring their ideas to life using the Frostbite game engine. You'll work on technical documentation and learning resources, making it easier for creators of all skill levels to master Frostbite. You'll collaborate closely with game engine developers and experts to share their knowledge and inspire innovation.
This is a hybrid role open to candidates who can commute to EA Games offices in Vancouver, BC or Montreal, QC.
Responsibilities:

- Bonus: Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
