Kforce is seeking a Technical Writer to join an Information Security Office (ISO) team in Phoenix, AZ. This hybrid contract role involves supporting the development and maintenance of security policies, standards, procedures, and related documentation. The writer will collaborate with management and technical staff to create clear, user-friendly content aligned with city guidelines and legal requirements, focusing on policy planning and design. Key responsibilities include preparing, reviewing, and maintaining technical documents, gathering information, and developing content for various platforms.
Must Have
- Prepare, review, and maintain technical documents, policies, standards, and operating procedures
- Gather and analyze technical information to document new or updated functionality
- Write, format, edit, and proof content for technical and non-technical audiences
- Assist in planning and tracking documentation deliverables to meet deadlines
- Develop content for websites, reports, metrics, training materials, and communication pieces
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to synthesize complex technical information into clear, concise content
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across multiple technical teams
- Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines
- Understanding of business etiquette and professional protocols
- Candidates must be local and available for in-person interviews within one week of posting close date

Job Description
Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Technical Writer to join their Information Security Office (ISO) team. This is a hybrid role - 2 days per week in office. This is a six month contract assignment. Onsite work in downtown Phoenix is required. This is a six month contract assignment.
Summary:
This role focuses on Policy Planning and Design and supports the development and maintenance of security policies, standards, procedures, and related documentation. The Technical Writer will work closely with management, technical staff, and subject-matter experts to create clear, user-friendly content that aligns with city guidelines and legal requirements.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
