This Spring 2026 Trainee position in Post & VFX Services offers a unique opportunity for emerging talent to work alongside teams creating movies and TV shows. Good To Have:
  • Experience with computer troubleshooting Hardware/Software (windows/mac/linux)

  • Experience with Transcoding and/or Editing platforms
  • Video/Audio Quality Control experience
  • Understanding of storage platforms and backup procedures
Must Have:
  • Prioritize and process requests from internal and external customers
  • Assist with VFX asset storage management and archiving

  • Deliver content per client’s instructions using industry standard technologies

This Spring 2026 Trainee position is from the January 12, 19 or 26, 2026 to June 26th, 2026 (start and end dates are flexible based on your schedule) and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location. This type of opportunity will jump-start your career and prepare you for a career in the desired field. This is not a remote role. A hybrid work option may or may not be available.

The SPE Post & VFX Services team represents a critical intersection of creative innovation and technical infrastructure. This team relies on robust, scalable, and secure IT systems to support high-performance workflows across Post Production and Visual Effects. Our role is to ensure seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies—from storage and compute to cloud-based collaboration tools—so that artists and technicians can focus on delivering exceptional content. By partnering closely with the Post & VFX teams, we enable operational efficiency, data integrity, and continuous innovation across the entire Post Production & VFX pipeline.

Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize and process a variety of requests from internal and external customers
  • Assist with VFX asset storage management and archiving
  • Assist with the creation of file transcodes to customer specification and deliver content per client’s instructions using industry standard technologies
  • Create and deliver screeners per clients instructions using SPE technologies
  • Assist with Aspera account creation and file deliveries

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Organize data from variety of sources and communicate information in a clear, professional manner to V.I.P. clients
  • Prioritize critical tasks
  • Work effectively in a team
  • Operate in a fast-paced quick turnaround environment
  • Lift and deploy computer equipment up to 40 lbs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with computer troubleshooting Hardware/Software (windows/mac/linux)
  • Understanding of transfer protocols (cifs, smb, sftp, aspera)
  • Experience with Transcoding and/or Editing platforms
  • Video/Audio Quality Control experience
  • Understanding of storage platforms and backup procedures

The anticipated base salary for this position is $27/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
