About the role
We are seeking an innovative and experienced Unreal tooling programmer to join our dynamic team in revolutionizing gaming experiences through advanced GenAI technologies. As a tools programmer, you will play a critical role in seamlessly embedding GenAI and machine learning (ML) capabilities into the Unreal Engine environment, ensuring that these integrations enhance real-time performance and functionality.


Key responsibilities

• Integration planning and development: Work with the team on integrating AI and ML technologies seamlessly into the Unreal Engine environment ensuring proper functionality and real-time performance.
  
• Deep Unreal Engine knowledge: Leverage existing knowledge of Unreal Engine in our product development and solutions.

• Optimization: Optimize our integrations to ensure they run efficiently within the constraints of the Unreal Engine and the final game.

• Code optimization: Identify and implement optimizations to improve the overall performance of AI systems within the game.

• Memory management: Implement efficient memory management practices to minimize the impact of AI computations on game performance.

• Iterative testing: Conduct iterative testing and refinement of prototypes based on feedback from designers and stakeholders.

• Research and stay updated: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Unreal, AI and ML technologies and methodologies.

• Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with game designers, artists, and team members to understand the gameplay requirements and incorporate AI features seamlessly.

Desirable skills and knowledge

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience working with Unreal Engine.
• Prior experience working with PC and/or console games.
• Excellent C++ skills.
• Preferably prior experience with working with AI or ML for games.
• Very good organizational and communication skills.
