User Experience Researcher (UX) Level 2

We’re hiring a User Experience Researcher (Level 2) for a remote contract role with a leading digital learning and publishing organization. This 7- to 12-month opportunity offers the chance to contribute to impactful, user-centered solutions that shape education outcomes across the country. The role operates on Eastern Time hours.

User Experience Researcher (Level 2) Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute research using methodologies such as user interviews, contextual inquiry, usability studies, ethnography, and direct observation.

• Collaborate with UX Strategists, Designers, and Product teams to translate user insights into actionable strategies.

• Conduct synthesis sessions using techniques like affinity diagrams, experience maps, and opportunity solution trees.

• Present findings to stakeholders via workshops, decks, and internal repositories.

• Support Research Operations: schedule participants, manage incentives, maintain tracking systems.

• Help ensure that product development is grounded in continuous discovery and user feedback.

User Experience Researcher (Level 2) Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in UX Research.

• Strong experience with qualitative methods and continuous discovery frameworks.

• Proficient in tools like Lucidchart, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience with Qualtrics is a plus.

• Familiarity with Agile teams and working cross-functionally.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Education in Psychology, HCI, Behavioral Science, Sociology, or related field.

• Experience in the education/EdTech industry is a bonus.

• Must be located in the U.S. (onshore); EST time zone preferred.
