Playtika seeks a passionate UX Researcher to collaborate with designers, product managers, and data analysts. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant field, strong research methodology knowledge, experience with data analysis tools, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with game design and the casual/social casino genre. The role involves translating research findings into actionable insights to shape product decisions and guide game design.

Responsibilities:

We're looking for a curious and passionate User Experience Researcher to join our team. In this role, you'll collaborate with designers, product managers, and data analysts to uncover player insights, evaluate user needs, and inform product decisions that shape our mobile games.

  1. Research Planning and Execution
  • Design and conduct user studies (e.g., interviews, usability testing, surveys) to explore player behavior.
  • Plan and manage research projects from end to end, including planning time budget, managing recruitment, and choosing research methods.
  1. Data Collection and Analysis
  • Gather both qualitative data (e.g., user interviews, observation) and quantitative data (e.g., analytics, surveys).
    • Apply statistical methods and thematic analysis to uncover trends and patterns in players' actions, motivations, and pain points.
  1. Communication of Findings
  • Translate complex research findings into clear, actionable insights for diverse professional audiences (e.g., designers, product teams, executives).
  • Present the insights in a compelling way (e.g., written reports, visual summaries, workshops, or in-person presentations) to diverse stakeholders, from game designers to senior executives.
  1. Collaboration, Consultancy, and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on player behavior, motivations, and UX best practices to guide game design decisions.
  • Facilitate workshops or brainstorm sessions to help stakeholders understand player needs and integrate insights into product roadmaps.

 

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Information Systems, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, or a related field.
  • Research Skills: Excellent knowledge of user research methodology (e.g., usability testing, interviews, surveys, focus groups, heuristic principles of human interface design) and willingness to learn more advanced techniques.
  • Experience with eye-tracking software and heat mapping tools for detailed visual behavior analysis.
  • Analytical Abilities: Comfort with analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data (e.g., survey statistics).
  • Software Skills: Experience with research and data tools (e.g., survey platforms, basic statistical software, video conferencing for remote testing).
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to produce easy-to-understand findings.
  • Game Industry Knowledge: familiarity with game design, UX in gaming, and the casual/social casino genre of mobile games.
  • Project Management: Experience in planning and coordinating multiple tasks, timelines, and stakeholders for several parallel research projects.
