Job Summary

Valeo is seeking a Business Owner to support its Help Center and Techassist+ projects. This role involves defining project vision and strategy, conducting market analysis, and documenting business goals. The Business Owner will prioritize the product backlog, gather requirements from stakeholders, and convert them into clear documentation for project development and international rollout. Collaboration with product, technical, purchase, and legal teams is essential. Responsibilities also include reviewing deliverables, conducting UAT testing, and providing financial oversight and risk identification for the projects.

Must Have

Valeo Service Help Center overview

Valeo Service, the aftermarket division of the Group, operates in over 150 countries worldwide. As an Augmented Services company, Valeo Service goes beyond supplying spare parts, offering comprehensive training, advanced tools, digital services, and robust sales and marketing support to spare parts distributors, independent garages—including a dedicated Loyalty Program—and drivers around the globe. These solutions are delivered through both traditional sales channels and e-commerce platforms.

To further enhance customer satisfaction and advance its Augmented Service strategy, Valeo Service has launched a variety of projects supporting aftermarket sales and digital initiatives.These projects cover a wide range of automotive topics and integrate innovative digital products and services, example:

  • Help Center platform with live chat, AI-powered chatbots, voice and text translations, voice bots, AI optimization.
  • Techassit + project focused on AI-powered car diagnostic chatbots

Both Help Center and Techassist+ aim to facilitate seamless contact between Valeo Service and diverse customer groups—B2B, B2C, and B2B2C—reaching customers across a global network of more than 150 countries.

Job Mission

We are looking for a Business Owner to support both projects: Help Center & Techassit + in the project development, documentation, analysis (in it market study & financial) and tests.

1. Defining Vision and Strategy

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to define business goals and vision for the projects.
  • Support market analysis, competitor studies, and other necessary researches
  • Document the business vision for project purposes and post-project use (e.g., SOPs, user guides).

2. Prioritizing Backlog & Project Planning

  • Own and prioritize the product backlog through business and project planning.
  • Align with the Project Manager on which features, enhancements, or fixes project deliver the most business value (MoSCoW) and guide technical teams accordingly.

3. Gathering the business elements

  • Gather requirements and feedback from business units, customers, and users.
  • Convert input into clear, documented elements (presentations, roadmaps, workflows..) to enable project development and rollout in new countries (eg. contact list, email templates translations, phone set up, public holidays etc..)
  • Keep stakeholders informed on project progress and outcomes.

4. Supporting and collaborating with project stakeholders

  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to draft and clarify business requirements and answer questions during sprints.
  • Collaborate with the technical team (CRM, external suppliers) and subject matter teams (technical team diagnostic in Techassit +)
  • Participate in technical planning, reviews, and retrospectives when needed.
  • Help unblock business-related obstacles.
  • Collaborate with the Purchase and Legal team - whenever required.
  • Review and approve deliverables to ensure they meet business needs.
  • Conduct End-to-End and UAT testing, and approve features and deliverables provided by the development team.

5. Financial Oversight

  • Support the Project Manager in building business cases, IAR
  • Monitor and evaluate financial impacts arising during the project.

6. Risk in projects

  • Identify and communicate potential business risks to the Project Manager.

Qualification of successful candidate

  • Ideally 3-5 years of experience in product marketing, coordination or project role, ideally in a global or multicultural environment will be a plus
  • Project Management: Understanding of project coordination and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; experience in Project management, previous exposure to digital tools will be a valuable asset
  • Facility to understand the digital products and modern way of services
  • Market: understanding of the automotive market and its various business stakeholders needs and challenges
  • Communication: Very good interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders, internal and external teams across different cultures and time zones. Sensitivity to cultural aspects.
  • Problem Solving: Quick thinking and creative problem-solving, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt in a dynamic, evolving environment.
  • Very good analytical and synthetic skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Well-organized, proactive, and resourceful, with strong attention to detail.
