Job Summary
At 1920, we redefine visual storytelling for feature films, episodic content, commercials, and immersive media. We are seeking a forward-thinking VFX Technical Generalist to integrate AI into our 2D and 3D teams, pushing creative and technical boundaries. This role involves exploring and implementing new solutions to enhance our pipeline, blending artistry, technology, and experimentation to maintain our position at the forefront of visual innovation.
Must Have
- Collaborate with 2D & 3D departments to integrate AI-driven tools into VFX workflows
- Use AI for concept art, style frames, and pitch imagery
- Use AI for matte painting and environment development
- Use AI for asset base generation (textures, model references, look-dev)
- Use AI for roto, cleanup, and image enhancement
- Customize and fine-tune AI models for in-house creative needs
- Build prompt libraries, toolkits, and procedural systems
- Uphold ethical and legal standards for AI usage (copyright, data sourcing, likeness rights)
- Partner with pipeline and R&D teams to evolve AI-based production tools
- Support and train artists on emerging AI workflows and best practices
- 2+ years of professional experience in VFX
- Strong understanding of 2D & 3D workflows (matte painting, texturing, lighting, look-dev, previs, compositing, modelling)
- Proficiency with key tools: Nuke, Houdini, Maya, Substance, Photoshop
- In depth working knowledge of Python

Role Overview
You’ll explore and implement new creative and technical solutions that enhance our existing pipeline — blending artistry, technology, and experimentation to keep 1920 at the forefront of visual innovation.
Key Responsibilities

Experience
