Job Summary

TensorWave is a leader in GPU cloud infrastructure for AI and machine learning. This role involves leading all engineering functions, including infrastructure, platform, hardware integration, and reliability. The Vice President of Engineering will partner with the CEO to define technical strategy, scale GPU clusters, and ensure world-class performance for enterprise AI workloads, contributing to the future of cloud computing.

Must Have

  • Own the engineering roadmap across compute infrastructure, software platform, networking, and data-center operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale high-performance engineering teams.
  • Drive architecture and execution of large-scale AMD-based GPU clusters.
  • Ensure reliability, performance, and security across all production systems.
  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, and CEO on long-term technical strategy.
  • Establish rigorous engineering processes, documentation, and quality standards.
  • Manage budgets, hiring, and resource allocation.
  • 10+ years of engineering leadership; 5+ years leading multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Deep experience with large-scale compute systems, HPC, or GPU/accelerator infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of cluster orchestration, networking, distributed systems, and performance optimization.
  • Proven ability to scale engineering organizations in high-growth environments.
  • Exceptional communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

The Opportunity

The Vice President of Engineering will lead all engineering functions across infrastructure, platform, hardware integration, and reliability. This executive will partner directly with the CEO to drive technical strategy, scale GPU clusters, and deliver world-class performance for enterprise AI workloads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the engineering roadmap across compute infrastructure, software platform, networking, and data-center operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale high-performance engineering teams (infrastructure, systems, platform, SRE).
  • Drive architecture and execution of large-scale AMD-based GPU clusters.
  • Ensure reliability, performance, and security across all production systems.
  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, and CEO on long-term technical strategy.
  • Establish rigorous engineering processes, documentation, and quality standards.
  • Manage budgets, hiring, and resource allocation to support rapid growth.
  • Represent engineering in executive planning, customer discussions, and investor interactions as needed.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of engineering leadership; 5+ years leading multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Deep experience with large-scale compute systems, HPC, or GPU/accelerator infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of cluster orchestration, networking, distributed systems, and performance optimization.
  • Proven ability to scale engineering organizations in high-growth environments.
  • Exceptional communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Experience with AMD Instinct GPUs, Kubernetes, or high-bandwidth architectures is a plus.
