Job Summary
As the Vice President of Global Distribution Partners at Silicon Labs, you will lead the worldwide channel strategy to drive customer count and revenue growth. This high-impact leadership role involves dictating engagement with global and regional distributors to accelerate design-in activity, broaden market reach, and ensure consistent sell-through performance across wireless and microcontroller solutions. You will define global distribution strategies, drive demand creation, manage NPI launches, track KPIs, and build a world-class team to support thousands of customers.
Must Have
- Define and drive the global distribution strategy
- Lead distributor-led demand creation and set expectations for broad market and long-tail account coverage strategies
- Align channel strategies by technology for NPI launch planning
- Establish and track key performance indicators across POS growth, design registrations, funnel health, inventory quality, backlog mix, joint marketing funds & ROI
- Lead quarterly and annual joint business planning reviews with top distributors
- Maintain competitiveness in agreements, incentive structures, and program terms
- Recruit and develop regional distribution account team members
- Engage at the highest levels with strategic partners
- Continuously evaluate and evolve the distribution model

Job Description
Role
As the Vice President of Global Distribution Partners, you will lead the worldwide channel strategy that fuels our customer count and revenue growth. You’ll dictate how we engage global and regional distributors to accelerate design-in activity, broaden reach into emerging markets, and deliver consistent sell-through performance across our portfolio of wireless and microcontroller solutions.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping how we reach and support thousands of customers, from global OEMs to the innovators designing the next generation of connected devices.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the global distribution strategy: Group and develop partners by capability and coverage. Establish regional roles across the Americas, EMEA, and APJ regions and ensure clear alignment between marketing and channel strategies
- Drive development partner motions: Lead distributor-led demand creation and set expectations for broad market and long-tail account coverage strategies
- NPI launch planning - Align channel strategies by technology:
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), success depends on share gain and design-win velocity; rapidly converting funnel and existing sockets
- 802.15.4 & Wi-SUN/Sub-GHz, success centers on expanding the served available market (SAM) by partnering with ecosystem players, integrators, and solution providers to create new demand and open new applications
- Data management: Establish and track key performance indicators across POS growth, design registrations, funnel health, inventory quality, backlog mix, joint marketing funds & ROI, and participate in price-book upkeep. Use data-driven insights to guide distributor behavior and ensure alignment with company objectives
- Lead our cadence: Lead quarterly and annual joint business planning reviews with top distributors, setting goals/objectives for demand creation and NPI activities. Own our training flows and schedule
- Commercials and economics: Maintain competitiveness in agreements, incentive structures, and program terms to ensure mutual success and adherence to program governance
- Build a world-class team: Recruit and develop regional distribution account team members who embody our values of innovation, accountability, and collaboration
- Represent with global distribution executives: Engage at the highest levels with strategic partners to drive alignment, share insights, and foster long-term commitment to success
- Continuously evaluate and evolve the model: Anticipate shifts in distributor strategy, digital transformation, and regional consolidation to keep ahead of the curve
Key Success Metrics
- Customer count, funnel, demand creation DW and POS growth
- Improve funnel to design-win conversion ratio
- Inventory health: Manage inventory, turns, and mix to agreed-on standards
- Manage standard distributor performance metrics: Registration data and design-in and win detail
- Share growth and SAM expansion in key wireless markets (BLE, 802.15.4, Wi-SUN/Sub-GHz & Wi-Fi)
Skills You Will Need
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- 15+ years in the semiconductor or IoT industry, including 10+ years leading global distribution or channel sales organizations
- Proven success building and executing global distribution or channel partner programs
- Experience managing complex, multi-regional distributor networks across Americas, EMEA and APJ
- Deep understanding of semiconductor distribution models, POS and design registration data, and partner incentive programs (rebates, ship-and-debit, MDF)
- Experience driving demand creation, design-in activity, and funnel-to-win conversions through distributors
- Strong grasp of wireless and MCU markets, including BLE, 802.15.4, Wi-SUN/Sub-GHz, and Wi-Fi
- Demonstrated success in building and leading global teams and collaborating cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams
- Excellent executive presence, communication, and negotiation skills for managing C-level distributor relationships
- Proven track record of accelerating customer count, POS growth, and SAM expansion
