Video Editor, Part-Time

CatFace is a YouTube entertainment company, home to a family of channels with over 20 million combined subscribers and an average of 300 million views per month. Our goal is to entertain our audience with fun, light-hearted narratives and entertaining content for both children and young adults. A vital component of our business is creating multiple unique stories every week in order to keep our audience engaged.

About the Job

CatFace is looking for a talented individual eager to contribute to the expansion of our YouTube brand. This is a part-time role, requiring 20 hours per week, with full days on Monday-Wednesday. The ideal candidate should be eager to thrive in a dynamic environment and adaptable to a variety of tasks. We are looking for someone with the enthusiasm and vigor to support our workflow in every capacity needed.

Candidates are required to submit a comprehensive resume along with samples of video editing work for consideration. Additionally, a portfolio review and presentation will be part of the interview process. 

What You'll Be Doing:

• Assisting and Editing Daily content
• Adding in Text, Visuals, and Music that match brand and theme
• Work with the Editing team to correctly Archive and track old projects
• Learning, Understanding, and Assisting with updating of editing and rendering best practices

What We're Looking For

• Experience in editing "Let's Play" style content is essential
• Deep understanding of the YouTube platform and the capacity to identify and apply emerging trends in editing styles.
• Continuous drive to enhance video quality through innovative styles is crucial.
• Strong passion for editing YouTube Gaming Content is required.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge and experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.
• An enthusiasm for YouTube content, a keen interest in its mechanics, and the ability to quickly assimilate new information to improve videos, generate ideas, and effectively realize the vision of the talent are important.
• The ability to adapt swiftly in a dynamic entertainment environment is necessary. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to respond promptly, are also vital.
• Familiarity with gaming platforms such as Minecraft and Roblox is expected, along with a thorough understanding of technical aspects related to audio syncing, frame rates, and more.
• A commitment to a work schedule from Monday through Wednesday, with an understanding some weekend work may need help.
