Job Summary

Valeo is seeking a VIE Telematics Software Integrator Engineer for a 12-month full-time assignment in Tokyo, Japan. The role involves actively understanding software requirements and customer tickets, supporting the team in ticket creation, handling, fixing, and tracking. The engineer will ensure compliance with project standards, meet customer timelines, remove roadblocks by collaborating with other departments, and drive process improvement. This position is crucial for enhancing ticket management efficiency and software quality performance within Valeo's Brain Division, focusing on autonomous and connected vehicles.

Must Have

  • Actively understand software requirements and customer tickets.
  • Support the team with internal ticket creation, handling, fixing, and tracking.
  • Support the software project team in executing processes, policies, and best practices for ticket management.
  • Ensure the software organization meets customer ticket timelines and testing deadlines.
  • Remove roadblocks in ticket management by collaborating with other departments.
  • Drive the resolution of issues identified during reviews and assessments.
  • Lead process improvement action plans to enhance ticket management efficiency and software quality.
  • Prepare data for customer quality communication and promote lessons learned.
  • Analyze and elaborate software requirements with the SW REQ/ARCH Lead.
  • Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in software development, integration, or testing.
  • Fluent level of English.

  • Experience in an automotive or embedded systems environment.

Your challenges? * You actively understand software requirements and customer tickets, supporting the team with internal ticket creation, handling, fixing, and tracking * You support the software project team in executing processes, policies, and best practices to ensure proper ticket management and implementation. * You ensure the software organization meets customer ticket timelines and testing deadlines, maintaining compliance with project standards. * You remove roadblocks in ticket management by collaborating with other departments (e.g. Requirements Management, Continuous Integration, Automated Testing, Agile Methods). * You drive the resolution of issues identified during reviews and assessments, ensuring proper follow-up and closure. * You lead process improvement action plans to enhance ticket management efficiency and software quality performance. * You prepare data for customer quality communication, share best practices, and promote lessons learned within project teams. * You analyze and elaborate software requirements with the SW REQ/ARCH Lead, ensuring consistent, traceable, and high-quality implementation. Let’s talk about you… * You are graduated from a Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field * You already have experience in software development, integration, or testing, ideally in an automotive or embedded systems environment * You have a fluent level of English (Japanese or French is a plus) * You have good communication skills, an international mindset, and are open-minded to new cultures and new ways of working and thinking * You are humble, a good listener, positive, professional, and diplomatic * Knowledge of continuous integration tools or agile methods is a plus Please, don't forget to apply in English to facilitate the process with our managers.
