Web QA Engineer

FreePlay is expanding its team and seeking a Web QA Engineer to enhance current results. The role involves analyzing and testing web application requirements, developing testing strategies, and performing various types of testing including functional, interface, usability, performance, API, and backend logic. Responsibilities also include working with task tracking systems, preparing test reports, collaborating with the project team, and gradually implementing automation.

Must Have

• Analyzing and testing web application requirements
• Developing testing strategies for web products
• Performing various types of testing (functional, interface, usability, performance, API, backend logic, etc.)
• Working with a task tracking system
• Preparing test results reports
• Working with the project team (PM, developers, etc.)
• 3+ years of experience in web application testing
• Experience in API testing
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and software testing approaches
• Understanding the fundamentals and principles of client-server applications, particularly web applications
• Knowledge and proficiency in test design techniques
• Proficiency in working with databases, ability to write SQL queries for backend and API testing
• Proficiency in web testing tools: DevTools, GraphQL, Postman
• Experience in writing automated tests (API tests at minimum, preferably UI tests)
• Understanding of cross-browser testing and client-server architecture
• Sound understanding of testing theory and the ability to effectively apply it in practice
• Ability to test under conditions of incomplete or changing requirements
• Experience in test planning and task estimation

• Performing various types of testing (functional, interface, usability, performance, API, backend logic, etc.).
• Working with a task tracking system.
• Preparing test results reports.
• Working with the project team (PM, developers, etc.), participating in meetings.
• Gradually implementing automation.

What we’re looking for in a candidate:

• 3+ years of experience in web application testing.
• Experience in API testing, knowledge of the specifics of web application testing.
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and software testing approaches.
• Understanding the fundamentals and principles of client-server applications, particularly web applications.
• Knowledge and proficiency in test design techniques (not limited to equivalence partitioning and boundary value analysis).
• Proficiency in working with databases, ability to write SQL queries for backend and API testing.
• Proficiency in web testing tools: DevTools, GraphQL, Postman.
• Experience in writing automated tests (API tests at minimum, preferably UI tests).
• Understanding of cross-browser testing and client-server architecture.
• Sound understanding of testing theory and the ability to effectively apply it in practice.
• Ability to test under conditions of incomplete or changing requirements.
• Experience in test planning and task estimation.
