About the Role
We’re looking for an HR Generalist & Office Experience Partner for Patreon’s Porto office.
This is a hands-on, hybrid HR and facilities role responsible for supporting the employee experience, maintaining a safe and compliant workplace, and serving as the local connection point between Porto staff and our global People, Legal, and Workplace teams.
The ideal candidate is a Portuguese local with strong people operations experience and the ability to manage a thriving, professional, and inclusive work environment. You should have knowledge of local labor practices, a strong sense of professionalism, and the ability to build trust across levels.
You’ll play a key role in strengthening our culture, supporting career development, and ensuring that the Porto office remains a productive, respectful, and inspiring place to work.
In this role, you will:

- Serve as the first point of contact for Porto employees on HR, benefits, and workplace questions.
- Champion professionalism and inclusion, reinforcing company values in daily operations and events.
- Lead local engagement, learning, and wellness programs; surface feedback to inform future strategy.
- Strengthen communication and connection between Porto and global teams to build trust and transparency.
- People Operations
- Oversee payroll inputs, benefits enrollment, and leave processes in partnership with vendors.
- Maintain accurate HRIS data, statutory files, and required government reporting.
- Localize and maintain policies and the Portuguese employee handbook.
- Support immigration documentation, employee travel, and onboarding/offboarding logistics.
- Coordinate documentation and scheduling for employee relations processes with the People team.
- Workplace
- Partner with Workplace Operations on site logistics, seating, onboarding coordination, and office safety.
- Manage local vendors and property partners; ensure a clean, safe, and well-supported workspace.
- Provide light onsite IT coordination (equipment setup, troubleshooting).
- Support local events and onboarding day-one experience in partnership with Workplace and IT.
About You
You’re an experienced Workplace professional with a strong operational mindset and a people-first approach. You balance attention to detail with the ability to think on your feet, manage multiple priorities, and handle confidential matters with discretion. You’re proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.
Qualifications:
- 2–4 years in HR operations, People Ops, or payroll/benefits administration in Portugal
- Familiarity with Portugal labor practices and statutory reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Portuguese
- Strong organization and attention to detail; able to manage sensitive data with discretion
- Comfortable working with global, distributed teams and external vendors
- Familiar with HRIS and payroll systems
- Service-oriented, practical problem solver with sound judgment
- Culturally aware and inclusive, with a continuous improvement mentality
Nice to have but not required:
- Experience supporting immigration and work authorization processes in Portugal
