Job Description
SuperPlay, a rapidly expanding mobile games company known for hits like Dice Dreams and Domino Dreams, is seeking a 2D Animator. This role involves creating high-quality animations for characters, objects, and game assets, ensuring they align with the visual identity and gameplay needs. The animator will collaborate closely with designers, technical artists, and art directors, implementing animations directly into games while meeting project deadlines.
Must have:
- Work with designers, technical artists, Animation Lead, and Art Director.
- Produce various animations for characters, objects, and game assets.
- Adhere to established visual identity and animation direction.
- Create high-quality, believable animations and implement them in games.
- Collaborate with 2D artists and technical leads on production constraints.
- Meet project deadlines and milestones.
- Minimum 3 years experience in gaming or creative field.
- Minimum 2 years proven animation experience.
- Proven 2D Character animation experience with a versatile portfolio.
- Proficient in Spine and Unity for animation.
- Good knowledge of After Effects and Adobe Photoshop.
- Passion for games and knowledge of successful casual/mobile games.
- Experience optimizing art and animation for mobile devices.
- Goal-oriented team player, able to meet deadlines.
Good to have:
- Knowledge using Unity
- Experience with rigging and skinning
- Experience with VFX
- Experience with 2D animation
- Knowledge using Blender

What will you do at SuperPlay?
- As a 2D Animator you will be working as part of a team of designers, interacting with technical artists, the Animation Lead and the Art Director
- Core tasks revolve around producing various animations for characters, objects and other game assets according to design/gameplay needs, while adhering to the established visual identity and animation direction. The animations vary, from character animations to game assets to transition animations & VFX.
- Creating believable, high-quality animations and directly participating in implementing them in games
- Ensuring close collaboration with the 2D artists and the team's technical leads to contend with constraints related to production.
- Meeting project deadlines/milestones as set by project leads.
Who are you?

- At least 3+ years of experience in the gaming industry or another creative field.
- 2+ years of proven experience in animation
- Proven experience in 2D Character animation, with a portfolio demonstrating versatility with regards to art style animations
- Proficient knowledge of animating in Spine and unity
- Good Knowledge of After effects and Adobe Photoshop
- You have a passion for games and extensive knowledge of successful casual & mobile games
- Experience optimizing art and animation to run smoothly on mobile devices
- Goal-oriented team player, with proven ability to meet deadlines and milestones
