Mistral AI is seeking an Account Manager to lead its engagement with the Luxembourg Government. This role involves managing key government relationships, defining strategic roadmaps, and ensuring the successful deployment of AI solutions aligned with public sector priorities like digital sovereignty and operational efficiency. The Account Manager will be the primary point of contact for the Luxembourg government, building long-term partnerships with senior public sector executives and coordinating with internal teams to meet compliance and procurement requirements. Responsibilities include identifying new use cases, supporting expansion to adjacent institutions, and driving growth through upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
Must have:
  • 10+ years of experience managing public sector accounts
  • Proven track record of leading multi-year projects in complex environments
  • Experience with deep tech products (cloud, AI, ML)
  • Strong political acumen and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to align technical roadmaps with policy objectives
  • Fluent in English
Good to have:
  • French or German language skills
  • Experience with Luxembourg Government or EU institutions
  • Fluent in Luxembourgish

Role Summary 

As part of our rapid growth, Mistral is expanding its footprint in the public sector.

We are seeking an Account Manager to lead our engagement with the Luxembourg Government.

You will be responsible for managing key government relationships, defining long-term strategic roadmaps, and ensuring successful deployment of AI solutions aligned with public sector priorities such as digital sovereignty, transformation, and operational efficiency.

You’ll play a pivotal role in making Mistral a trusted partner across Luxembourg’s ministries and agencies.


What you will do

Strategic Account Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for the Luxembourg government across key institutions and stakeholders.
Develop a 5-year strategic roadmap aligned with Luxembourg’s national digital agenda and AI ambitions.
Build long-term partnerships with senior public sector executives, including Directors General, CIOs, and political stakeholders.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution and alignment with public sector compliance and procurement constraints.

Relationship & Ecosystem Leadership

Act as the voice of the client within Mistral, anticipating challenges and aligning deployments with institutional priorities.
Lead Quarterly Business Reviews with government clients, driving alignment and transparency.
Navigate complex political and institutional environments, understanding interdependencies across ministries, public procurement rules, and regulatory frameworks.

Growth, Expansion & Impact

Identify and qualify new use cases, pilots, and long-term AI adoption programs.
Collaborate with technical and product teams to deliver tailored solutions and support post-deployment success.
Identify and negotiate upsell and cross-sell opportunities across different departments and agencies.
Support expansion to adjacent institutions or EU-level government entities.


About you

•10+ years of experience managing strategic public sector or large enterprise accounts, ideally with direct exposure to government bodies.
•Proven track record of leading transformative, multi-year, multi-agency projects in politically complex environments.
•Experience working with deep tech products (cloud infrastructure, AI, ML platforms), able to confidently engage CIOs, CDOs, CTOs, and technical project leads.
•Strong political acumen with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder networks, resolve tension, and align divergent interests.
•Skilled in aligning technical product roadmaps with policy objectives, regulatory constraints, and public procurement processes.
•Strong interpersonal skills — calm, pragmatic, and able to build trust across a wide range of stakeholders and personalities.
•Fluent in English (written & spoken); French or German is a strong plus due to the local context.
Prior experience with Luxembourg Government, European institutions, or highly regulated public bodies is a significant asset.
• Fluent in luxembourgish will be much appreciated
