This role involves researching and defining switching mode power supply topologies, developing algorithms for power supply optimization, and assisting in new product development. The engineer will design and evaluate switching power supply units, provide technical support to customers, and create technical application materials. Key requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering and experience in power supply design, power electronics, and analog electronics, along with strong communication skills.
Good To Have:- Experience designing power electronic circuitry for industrial electronic equipment or consumer devices.
Must Have:- Research and define switching mode power supply topologies.
- Develop algorithms to automatically optimize power supplies using PI’s products.
- Assist in new product development and research new applications.
- Design and develop switching power supply units (psu).
- Evaluate switching power supplies built with the company’s products.
- Provide switching power supply design support and technical advice to customers.
- Research and write technical application materials.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Power Supply Design Engineer or design experience in power converters/conversion/management, switching/switch mode power supply units (psu), inverters, power electronics design equipment, analog electronics design, control loop design and power magnetics design.
- Excellent written and oral communications.
- Experience in specification creation, technical report writing and test plans/instructions.
