Job Summary
Job Description
This Director, Sourcing Management role involves overseeing both direct and indirect sourcing and procurement. Key responsibilities include developing sourcing strategies for OSAT, negotiating pricing, and partnering with engineers to drive cost reduction through value engineering. The role requires developing and maintaining a cost roadmap database, assisting with financial models for new products, and supporting NPI supplier identification. Candidates must have extensive experience in semiconductor package design and assembly, strong communication, analytical, negotiation, and business skills, and a background in materials science, electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
Must have:
- Managing both direct and indirect sourcing and procurements.
- Develop sourcing strategy of OSAT including assembly, lead frame, and mold compound suppliers as well as tooling vendors.
- Negotiate assembly and package pricing with suppliers to achieve or improve on cost roadmap.
- Partner with PI engineers and suppliers’ engineers to drive cost down through value engineering efforts.
- Develop, maintain, and own a cost roadmap database that models all PI costs including fab, test, logistics, warehousing.
- Work with the Product definition team to help developing the financial models of new products.
- Working with NPI team for NPI supplier identification, evaluation, design rule confirmation and RFQ.
- Support all administrative aspects of the sourcing function.
- Organize, prepare, and run the quarterly business reviews with fabs and assembly suppliers.
- Extensive experience in the design and assembly of semiconductor packages.
- Strong communication skills at the executive level.
- Strong experience in conducting business in Asia.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Outstanding negotiation skills.
- Business savviness.
- BS or MS in materials science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or chemical engineering.

Power Integrations is committed to building teams that drive innovation and therefore review a range of factors when determining compensation. The annual base pay range for this position is $183,365 - $263,639. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, qualifications and work location.
The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position in California. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
