About The Role
Oliver is looking for an experienced
Art Director to work on a global financial services account. This role is primarily remote but will require you to work out of the client’s New York office approximately twice a month. In this role, you will work on the art direction and design of marketing materials for both print and web including but not limited to, events, brochures, white papers, emails, banners, social, presentations, story boarding for video or digital concepts and more.
What You Will Be Doing
- Concept & ideation solving for campaigns/project briefs, including but not limited to, corporate branding, social and digital assets and print collateral
- Work within brand guidelines to design a range of marketing materials, designing projects through to production
- Develop and design company collateral including long-form editorial work (12+ page brochures and white papers, 40+ page reports, etc.)
- Work closely with Account Director and Project Manager to ensure delivery of creative ask from concept to final execution within deadlines
- Cooperate with the rest of the creative team across different types of media
- Manage and delegate responsibilities to other designers and provide direction
- Provide art direction and create storyboards for video production on occasion
- Oversee the preparation of all finished files that will comply with the correct output specifications
- Work proactively under own initiative and as part of the design team
- Supervise and mentor Junior Designers to help develop their creative abilities
- Provide direction and templates Production Designers for execution and scale
- Proactively monitor artwork quality, accuracy and consistency across team that completes 250+ design deliverables per month
What you need to be great in this role:
- A portfolio of great work
- 6-7 years of design experience, including at least 2 years of Art Direction and agency experience
- Branding experience, especially for a corporate brand in a highly regulated industry
- Solid communication skills and collaborative approach
- Mastery of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and PowerPoint
- Experience briefing and reviewing work from external/production agencies
- A thorough understanding of photography, typography and printing
- Experience in working within fast-paced creative environment and the proven ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Ability to bridge the creative strategy to both the business purpose and tactical execution
- Confident with client interface and strong presentation skills
- Financial services experience a plus
- At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $120,000 - $130,000. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one componen t of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
