Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated DevOps engineer to join our dynamic team within FX Surveillance. As a team member you will be working closely with our Data Scientists to support the deployment, and monitoring of our cloud-based applications. Engage in designing, developing, and building cloud platform services and capabilities as well as work alongside architects and developers. You’ll be joining as an Associate DevOps Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform programming/scripting for DevOps tasks in FX Trade Surveillance team to support AWS platform.
  • Configuring AWS security services, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), Security Groups, VPCs, and Key Management Service (KMS).
  • Help with the setup and configuration of AWS services like Cognito, EC2, RDS, Lambda, and others.
  • Assist in managing access control policies, ensuring secure connectivity between systems, and monitoring security incidents.
  • Support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to implement automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance using AWS CloudWatch and other monitoring tools.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving the scalability, security, and reliability of cloud-based systems.
  • Document security configurations, processes, and AWS best practices to maintain operational transparency and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, IAM, KMS, Cognito, Lambda, etc.).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Some knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitHub).
  • Interest in security technologies and cloud security practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues in a cloud environment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with the team.
  • Familiarity with AWS security services (Cognito, KMS, Secrets Manager, etc.).
  • Understanding of networking and cloud security principles.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

Experience

  • 2 years+ experience as a Cloud/DevOps engineer working in cloud environment, configuring Cloud policies, roles, security.
  • Thorough knowledge of AWS and Azure architecture and native services, such as compute, serverless, networking, load balancing and RDS.
