Tripledot Studios is seeking an Associate Product Manager to join their Melbourne team and contribute to new mobile game initiatives. The role involves supporting Product Managers and cross-functional teams in game development, from ideation to launch. Responsibilities include shaping product roadmaps based on player insights and data, evaluating feature performance, brainstorming new game concepts, and assisting in feature development from requirements gathering to QA. The Associate Product Manager will act as a liaison between disciplines, ensuring clear communication and smooth execution, and will have opportunities to grow into owning product tracks with guidance from senior leaders. The position also involves supporting studio culture and contributing to ad-hoc projects.
Must have:
  • 3-5 years of product experience in game development
  • Proficient in supporting technical and business discussions
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Expertise in game economy management
  • Proven ability to establish and improve project processes
  • Skilled in transparent and inclusive communication
  • Capable of managing day-to-day work within defined parameters

Role Overview

Tripledot Studios Melbourne is growing!  We're looking for an Associate Product Manager to join our team and help shape some of our most exciting new mobile game initiatives.

In this role, you’ll work closely with our Product Managers, Product Director, and cross-functional teams to support the development and success of new mobile games. You’ll be hands-on with ideation, feature development, and product analysis—contributing directly to the creation of engaging and successful games. While you’ll have real impact from day one, this role is also designed to help you grow into owning product tracks more independently over time.

 
Responsibilities - What you’ll be doing…

  • Support Game Development: Collaborate with Product Managers and cross-functional teams (Art, Engineering, UA, Monetization, and Data Science) to deliver great games, fast. Assist in taking features and ideas from concept through to launch.
  • Help Shape Roadmaps: Contribute to product roadmaps and backlog prioritization based on player insights, data, and market trends. Participate in crafting business strategy for game features or tracks under supervision.
  • Use Data to Guide Decisions: Work closely with our data team to evaluate performance of features and gameplay, drawing actionable insights to improve engagement and monetization.
  • Contribute to Game Ideas: Help brainstorm and test new game concepts, features, and market opportunities. Assist in refining these ideas into product specs, wireframes, and proposals.
  • Feature Development: Support the delivery of large-scale features—from gathering requirements and contributing to specs to collaborating on wireframes and supporting QA.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Act as a central link between disciplines, ensuring clear communication and smooth execution across stakeholders.
  • Learn and Grow: Take increasing responsibility for areas of the product as you gain experience, working toward owning your own tracks of work with guidance from senior product leaders.
  • Support Culture Building: Help ensure the Melbourne studio thrives as part of the larger Tripledot family, embracing our values and creative spirit.
  • Ad-hoc Projects: Pitch in wherever needed—whether it’s helping prepare presentations, market research, or organizing playtests.



Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Demonstrates strong domain and industry knowledge, making informed and evidence-based decisions. We're looking for someone with 3-5 years of product experience in game development
  • Proficient in playing a supporting role in technical discussions and critical business projects.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Expertise in game economy management.
  • Proven ability to establish and improve processes within a project.
  • Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally, adapting to various audiences.
  • Skilled in transparent and inclusive communication, with a talent for synthesizing complex viewpoints.
  • Capable of managing the day-to-day work of people or projects within defined parameters.
  • Has experience conceiving complex features and live-ops functionality in order to optimize already scaled games
  • Ability to transition the product and the team from growth phase to a smooth and scaled operation
  • Experience in interviewing and hiring product managers.
