Job Description

This is a Sales Aviation Summer Internship at CAE, a global leader in flight simulation and training. The intern will gain experience in customer engagement, direct sales, and internal processes. Responsibilities include collaborating with the sales team to streamline processes, creating reports on customer analytics, reaching out to customers, engaging with customers as part of the sales process, supporting contract renewal, and supporting the logistics of regional NBAA events. The internship will involve working with various corporate departments to gain a holistic view of organizational structure and operations and includes a final project.
Must have:
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate program.
  • Focus in Aviation or Marketing is preferred.
  • Cumulative GPA 3.20 or higher.
  • Basic knowledge of computer programs.
  • Outgoing personality and strong communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to develop relationships.

​Sales Aviation Summer Internship: ​Are you passionate about the Aviation Industry? Join CAE, a global leader in the manufacturing of Flight Simulators and Flight Training for the Private and Business Aviation community (Part 91 & Part 135), for an incredible 12-week paid Sales Internship. Based at one of the world's largest training centers at DFW airport in between Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas, this program offers valuable insights into one of the leading Pilot Training organizations. Gain direct experience in customer engagement, direct sales, and internal processes, culminating in a final project.

  • Collaborate with various members of the sales team to help understand and streamline current processes.

  • Create reports on customer analytics.

  • Reach out to customers about upcoming training needs as well as accounts receivable.

  • Throughout the internship, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with various corporate departments, gaining a holistic view of our organizational structure and operations. You will work closely with Fleet Planning/Scheduling, Finance, Regulatory, Flight Training, and customer service teams to ensure a well-rounded experience in all aspects of the business.

  • Engage with customers as part of the sales process. ​o Undertake designated, business-focused projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present a final project at the end of the internship.

  • ​Support contract renewal process, and liaise with Commercial Excellence and Sales teams to increase yield across existing customers

  • Data entry of pricing into CRM systems ​

  • Support growth incentive/rebate calculation, and submit for approval

  • Support with management and accuracy of data for new business prospecting (win room)

  • Support with the logistics of regional NBAA events ​

  • Support Sales Director as required

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, working towards a Bachelor's or graduate degree. A focus in Aviation or Marketing is preferred. Needs to be within 18 months of graduation.

  • Cumulative GPA 3.20 or higher at the time of application.

  • Basic knowledge of computer programs, techniques, and concepts relevant to the area of application.

  • Outgoing personality with effective communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong work ethic, initiative-taking, positive, personable, and ability to develop relationships.
