eBay is seeking a Sr. Product Marketing Manager to lead inbound product marketing and outbound go-to-market strategy for buyer experiences. This role involves partnering with product, design, research, and sales teams to develop value propositions, positioning, and drive adoption of new and existing tools. The manager will be responsible for the product value proposition narrative, GTM strategy, and messaging for eBay Live globally, ensuring buyer shopping experience and seller success. Key tasks include influencing product roadmaps, creating customer feedback loops, and managing GTM for new product introductions, tracking engagement and business success.

  • 6+ years of experience in product marketing.
  • Strong track record of developing product and go-to-market strategies at ecommerce companies.
  • Proven track record to drive innovation, execute projects with excellence.
  • Success working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience with customer research techniques.

About the team and the role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic product marketer to drive inbound product marketing and outbound go to market strategy for end-to-end buyer experiences. This is a unique opportunity to become an integral part of the marketing team, focused on the Buyer Experience product and commercial teams. This role will partner cross-functionally with product, design, research, marketing, communications, customer service and sales / market teams.

To be successful, you are an experienced Product Marketer with expertise in developing value propositions, positioning and driving adoption of new and existing tools and resources. You are also experienced in co-creating go-to-market and marketing plans with cross-functional partners. Context in e-commerce and small business is a benefit.

What you will accomplish:

  • Responsible for the product value proposition narrative, the go-to-market strategy, and messaging for Live across the globe, ensuring buyers’ shopping experience and seller success on the platform.
  • You will approach go-to-market in a comprehensive manner to ensure buyers are delivered relevant and meaningful communications at the right time and place across in-product, marketing, PR, market communities, sales, customer service, and partner messaging.
  • Influence product roadmaps by synthesizing market, customer and competitive insights, build audience segmentations and opportunity sizing.
  • Create customer feedback loops during the product and marketing development process to refine the product narrative and value proposition articulation.
  • Develop product value propositions, narratives, customer messaging, naming and external facing proof points.
  • Manage the GTM strategy and planning for new product introductions and lead all aspects of channel specialists in driving successful implementation and measuring efficiency. Track customer engagement, product adoption, and business success. Partner with channel experts across in-product content, marketing, PR communications, customer service, in-market teams, and sales channels to generate demand.
  • Identify internal product market fit tracking metrics; synthesize customer feedback to provide signal amidst the noise across the product life cycle: development, launch, and optimization / expansion. Build up the value proposition demonstrating the voice of the customer to optimize product marketing messaging and to advise on product recommendations.
  • Identify key performance measures, track progress towards goals for product launches, and growth in market uptake of existing products or services.

What you will bring:

  • 6+ years of experience in product marketing
  • Strong track record of developing product and go-to-market strategies at ecommerce companies, with experience in buyer engagement/retention and a consumer mindset preferred.
  • Proven track record to drive innovation, execute projects with excellence
  • Success working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and excellent communication skills
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience with customer research techniques

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$108,400 - $186,400

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
