Must Have

  • Lead day-to-day operations of Europe & HIPO vendor collaborators.
  • Ensure strong delivery against liquidation, cure rate, and customer experience targets.
  • Translate global recovery goals into tailored regional strategies.
  • Supervise governance and compliance with GDPR and local collections regulations.
  • Identify root-cause performance issues and drive sustainable improvements.
  • Partner closely with global colleagues in APAC.
  • Influence long-term transformation through data-driven insights.
  • 5+ years of experience in vendor management, collections, or financial operations.
  • Strong knowledge of European regulatory frameworks (GDPR, consumer protection).
  • High analytical proficiency with BI tools (Tableau preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple time zones and diverse environments.
  • Fluency in English.

  • Proficiency in additional European languages (e.g., German, French, Italian, Spanish).

About the team and the role

As part of eBay’s European Collections organization, you’ll play a key role in driving financial performance and setting a high operational standard across our Europe & HIPO vendor network. You’ll lead regional strategy execution, strengthen vendor performance, and ensure thorough compliance in a constantly evolving regulatory landscape. Working within a globally distributed team, this role partners closely with Legal, Risk, Finance, and our APAC collections leaders to deliver consistent customer and business outcomes. This position reports into the regional manager and offers the opportunity to shape how eBay recovers value across multiple markets.

What you will accomplish:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of our Europe & HIPO vendor collaborators, ensuring strong delivery against liquidation, cure rate, and customer experience targets.
  • Translate global recovery goals into tailored regional strategies while expanding coverage into new European markets.
  • Supervise governance and compliance, ensuring adherence to GDPR and local collections regulations in partnership with Legal and Risk teams.
  • Identify root-cause performance issues through weekly reviews and drive sustainable improvements via monthly and quarterly business reviews.
  • Partner closely with global colleagues in APAC to share standard processes and maintain cross-regional coverage and alignment.
  • Influence long-term transformation through data-driven insights, process optimizations, and advocacy for modern tools such as AI and automation.

What you will bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in vendor management, collections, or financial operations, ideally across European and/or HIPO markets.
  • Strong knowledge of European regulatory frameworks affecting collections operations (e.g., GDPR, consumer protection regulations).
  • High analytical proficiency with experience using BI tools (Tableau preferred) to interpret large datasets and support decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convert complex regional insights into clear narratives for leadership and partners.
  • Proven track record to work independently across multiple time zones while navigating diverse cultural and operational environments.
  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in additional European languages (e.g., German, French, Italian, Spanish) is a plus.
