Job Summary
SoftwareOne is seeking a Cloud Project Manager for its xDC India team to oversee professional services engagements in Cloud Services (Azure, AWS, Digital Workplace). This role involves ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations through detailed planning and control, following SoftwareOne's Project Delivery Framework. Responsibilities include coordinating sales-to-delivery handover, leading project teams, managing financials, developing project artifacts, conducting team meetings, and reporting status to customers. The manager will also mentor junior team members, handle client relationships, and ensure knowledge sharing across multiple parallel projects, aiming for over 75% chargeability.
Must Have
- Guarantee projects achieve scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
- Coordinate Sales to Delivery handover and lead the project team.
- Govern the financials and profit margin of engagements.
- Plan, coordinate, manage, and control projects.
- Facilitate the development of project artifacts and deliverables.
- Conduct regular project team meetings to review risks, issues, and monitor project health and progress.
- Develop and share Project Status Reports with customers.
- Mentor junior team members and support their professional development.
- Lead multiple projects in parallel across different service lines, targeting over 75% chargeability.
- Handle client delivery relationships and resolve conflicts.
- Ensure knowledge sharing and leverage takeaways from other projects.
- Raise Change Requests proactively and ensure governance around planned vs. actual variance.
- Support project administration activities on SwoDP (SoftwareOne Delivery Platform) tool.
- Follow guidelines for effort/time logging, approval, and monthly revenue forecasting.
- Set and achieve bi-annual goals related to Performance, Development, and Organization.
- 5-8 years of experience in core Project Management role and/or holding a PMP/Prince 2 Practitioner certification.
- Proficiency in crafting Project Plans using Microsoft Project Professional (MPP).
- Experience working on Azure, AWS, or M365 projects.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Solid interpersonal skills, including attention to detail and multitasking capabilities.
- Experience working in a consulting environment.
- Structured, organized, proactive, well-adapted, and methodical approach.
- Experience in using tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Planner, Smartsheet.
Good to Have
- Technical certifications preferred, e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, M365 Fundamentals, Security, Compliance and Identity Fundamentals, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified AI Practitioner.

The role
SoftwareOne is looking for a motivated Cloud Project Manager to join our xDC India team. This position plays a crucial role in overseeing professional services engagements concerning Cloud Services like Azure, AWS, and Digital Workplace (M365).
- As a Cloud Project Manager, you will play a key role in achieving our projects' objectives by guaranteeing they achieve scope, schedule, achievements, budget, and quality expectations through detailed planning, control, and implementation following SoftwareOne's Project Delivery Framework and established processes.
- Coordinate the Sales to Delivery handover and lead the project team for successful delivery
- Govern the financials and profit margin of engagements
- Plan, coordinate, manage, and control projects, ensuring adherence to scope, time, cost, and quality thresholds
- Facilitate the development of project artifacts and deliverables in collaboration with the team
- Conduct regular project team meetings to review risks, issues, and monitor project health and progress
- Develop and share Project Status Reports with customers
- Mentor junior team members and support their professional development
- Lead multiple projects in parallel across different service lines, targeting over 75% chargeability
- Handle client delivery relationships and resolve conflicts

What we need to see from you
- Total experience not exceeding 12 years, preferably from a large service organization implementing sophisticated IT solutions
- 5-8 years of experience in core Project Management role and/or holding a PMP/Prince 2 Practitioner certification (or eligibility to acquire certification within the first year of employment)
- Proficiency in crafting Project Plans using Microsoft Project Professional (MPP)
- Experience working on Azure, AWS, or M365 projects, such as Landing Zone build, server migration, database migration, tenant-to-tenant migration, Intune setup, GSuite to M365 migration, etc.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Solid interpersonal skills, including attention to detail and multitasking capabilities
- Experience working in a consulting environment
- Structured, organized, proactive, well-adapted, and methodical approach
- Certifications
