Working Student (gn) Finance & Tax

As a working student in Finance & Tax at SoftwareOne, an international IT group, you will support the Tax-DACH team. Your responsibilities will include assisting with VAT pre-registrations, reviewing invoices for tax aspects, researching tax law questions, and contributing to digitalization projects. You will work flexibly, gaining insights into a fast-growing global company while balancing your studies.

Must Have

• Support in preparing VAT pre-registrations and summary reports
• Review invoices and processes for VAT aspects and document results
• Research tax law questions and prepare information for the team
• Contribute ideas to projects for digitalization and automation of tax processes
• Assist with administrative tasks like data maintenance and document filing
• Enrolled student in an economics, business administration or comparable course of study
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Structured, precise work ethic and enjoyment of analytical tasks
• Communicative and team-oriented
• Good German and English language skills

• First knowledge in tax law or accounting

Location: Leipzig | Scope: min. 10 h/week | Permanent

As an internationally operating IT group in software trading and digital solutions, we serve customers worldwide. Our Finance organization ensures that we act reliably, compliantly, and future-oriented even in a complex global environment. To strengthen our Tax-DACH team, we are looking for you as a working student. Become part of our dedicated Tax team, contribute your know-how, and develop yourself in our team!

Responsibilities

• You support in the preparation of VAT pre-registrations and summary reports
• You check invoices and processes for VAT aspects and document your results
• You research tax law questions and prepare information for the team
• You contribute your ideas to projects for the digitalization and automation of tax processes
• You help with administrative tasks such as data maintenance and document filing

What we need to see from you

Knowledge and Skills

• You are an enrolled student in an economics, business administration or comparable course of study
• First knowledge in tax law or accounting is an advantage, but not a must
• You are proficient with MS Office; ERP knowledge is a plus
• In this position, you can flexibly arrange your working hours between 10 to 20 hours a week depending on your timetable (7 AM - 6 PM)
• You work in a structured, precise manner and enjoy analytical tasks
• You are communicative, team-oriented, and have good German and English language skills
