Job Summary
This Product Manager role is part of the Conversion Programs team at eBay, focusing on driving customer-facing communication flows. The successful candidate will own the portfolio, including revenue targets, strategy, roadmap, and execution, primarily across email, push notifications, and native app notification channels. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, design, data science, and analytics teams to build highly contextual customer experiences in an agile manner.
Must Have
- Define and communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Save communications portfolio.
- Develop deep knowledge of eBay and its products with domain expertise in owned channels (emails, push notifications, in-app notifications).
- Build the roadmap in close collaboration with leadership and other team members.
- Implement the roadmap by working with engineering, data science, and design teams, building MVPs and iterating fast.
- Write requirements and communicate them to Engineering teams.
- Conduct AB tests: hypothesis building, test design, critical metric definition.
- Work with analytics teams to measure the impact on success metrics.
- Collaborate with the creative team to improve content and design.
- Collect and analyze customer and user feedback to improve the product.
- Prioritize features and work items based on business value, user needs, and other criteria.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to find opportunities and threats.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between the development team and partners.
- Track and report on experience performance and key metrics.
- Continuously improve the roadmap and development processes.

- Marketplace experience is strongly preferred.

About the Team and role:
This role is part of the Conversion Programs team and will drive customer facing communications flows. You will serve as the portfolio owner, including revenue targets, long-term strategy, roadmap, and execution.
You will iterate and expand on various programs, primarily in the channels of Email, Push Notifications and the Native App Notification Hub. You’ll bring it all to life in close collaboration with your immediate partners: engineering, design, data science, and analytics teams! This is a highly visible role and you will work closely with various cross functional teams within eBay mainly on the Core Technology/Core Product side.

What You Will Accomplish:
- The ‘CEO’ of your experience: defining and communicating the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Save communications portfolio.
- Developing deep knowledge of eBay and its products with domain expertise in the owned channels of emails, push notifications, and in-app notifications.
- Building the roadmap in close collaboration with leadership and other team members.
- Implementing the roadmap by working with engineering, data science and design teams. Build MVPs, iterate fast and be the champion of execution excellence.

What You Will Bring:
- 3+ years of strong product / business / marketing experience. Marketplace experience is strongly preferred.
- Technical Product Management experience or comparable experience working directly with Engineering teams (both front-end and back-end); technical understanding of building products / communications from scratch.
- Experience in developing emails, push notifications, and in-app notifications related to Save communications such as Saved Search or Saved Seller.
- Strong experience owner sense - ability to understand consumer needs and find simple and creative ways to address them.
- Execution - ability to ship quality experiences in a fast paced and iterative manner. Metrics driven - ability to build actionable metrics which can measure experience performance.
- Builds positive relationships across various teams within eBay; an active listener and clear communicator; can lead by influencing.
