Job Summary
TVH is seeking a Product Purchaser to specialize in wheels and rolling parts, with backup responsibilities for mast bearings and mini-excavator rolling parts. The role involves developing deep product and market knowledge, actively sourcing and negotiating with suppliers globally, and building long-term partnerships. Key responsibilities include ensuring product quality, availability, and delivery performance, resolving supplier-related issues, and collaborating with internal departments like Sales and Marketing. The ideal candidate will have a commercial mindset, strong communication skills, and be analytical and proactive.
Must Have
- Develop in-depth product range and market knowledge.
- Actively search for alternative suppliers for new and existing products.
- Build solid, long-term partnerships and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
- Answer product-related questions from the sales department.
- Take ownership of product groups within the team.
- Ensure product quality, availability, and delivery performance.
- Assess supplier quality, evaluate returns, and address customer complaints.
- Work closely with Marketing, Category Management, Pricing & Sales.
- Strong commercial mindset and excellent communication skills.
- Analytical, autonomous, structured, and able to work in a project-based environment.
- Proactive and comfortable in an entrepreneurial setting.
- Excellent command of English.
- Basic knowledge of French.

Job Description
TVH purchases parts worldwide for forklifts, aerial work platforms, telehandlers, scissor lifts, agricultural tractors, mini-excavators, golf carts… in short, for almost all industrial vehicles, regardless of brand, type, or year of manufacture.
The unparalleled know-how within our purchasing department is reflected in a database of more than 44,000,000 item numbers, with over 930,000 different references in stock.
After an extensive training period, you will become the Product Purchaser specialist for wheels and rolling parts. Together with your team, you will also act as backup for mast bearings and rolling parts for mini-excavators.
Your Role & Responsibilities
- Develop in-depth knowledge of your product range and market to build and expand a strong supplier portfolio for your product group.
- Actively search for alternative suppliers for new and existing products through market research, internal and external contacts, attending trade fairs, and leveraging TVH’s existing supplier network.
- Build solid, long-term partnerships with suppliers and negotiate contracts regarding technical specifications, quality, payment terms, and delivery deadlines.
- Answer product-related questions from the sales department.
- Take ownership of part of the product groups within your team.
- Ensure product quality, availability, and delivery performance to customers. You take a problem-solving approach whenever these are at risk.
- Assess supplier quality, evaluate returns and customer complaints, and take action towards suppliers to achieve constructive solutions.
- Work closely with Marketing, Category Management, Pricing & Sales, as well as your assigned suppliers.
Your Profile
- Preferably hold a bachelor’s degree and have an interest in technical products. You do not need to be a specialist—extensive internal training and the know-how of your colleagues will help you build all necessary product knowledge.
- Strong commercial mindset and excellent communication skills.
- Analytical, autonomous, structured, and able to work in a project-based environment.
- Proactive and comfortable in an entrepreneurial setting.
- Excellent command of English is required. A basic knowledge of French is sufficient; knowledge of Dutch is considered a strong asset.
