Job Description

Do you have the business savvy, customer-centric insight, and relationship development skills, to mesh with the strategic partnerships to help further establish Philips as the market leader in healthcare technology?

We are expanding our business development efforts to build crucial partnerships, thriving ecosystems, and core portfolio capabilities to create sustainable impact and long-term customer value, and are looking for a leader to join our team to scale our efforts globally. The team is comprised of strategy development and business development rockstars who work across Philips businesses to drive strategy to execution and bring in key partnerships to tailor our value chain, and extend it to build business together.
 

The ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables them to drive engagements and interact at the CxO level, as well as sufficient domain knowledge that enables them to comfortably and effectively interact with technical and clinical experts. As a leader, you will have the exciting opportunity to create and deliver plans to drive business development and partnership development, anchored in business strategy. To be successful, you should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions and work cross-organizationally to deliver outcomes and impact. You’ll be expected to execute in the face of ambiguity, influence externally and internally, and do so without scrappiness.
 

Your role: 

  • Identifying and engaging prioritized external organizations based on strategy to 1) collaborate on mutual technical and commercial challenges/opportunities, 2) partnership development to organize, orchestrate, and programmatically deliver, 3) build sustainable, long-term value to customers.

  • Discovering, capturing, and reporting back patterns and learnings from customers and partners back to the business to feedback into strategy and execution initiatives.

  • Developing and holding relationships with key influencers in the across partner organizations that are key to accelerating sustainable business growth to Philips. Activities include aligning those assets tailor Philips value chain, removing undifferentiated heavy lifting, and jointly producing thought leadership and commercial impact that is reflected in the P&L.

  • Collaborating with colleagues across the core informatics businesses to identify opportunities to leverage M&A capabilities to dive deep in due diligence to accelerate execution plans to better serve the needs of customers; support post-merger integration with receiving business.

  • Informing, influencing, and contributing to the work of across the business, including sales, marketing, strategy, and product teams. All while, contributing to the development of the informatics business strategy.
     

You're the right fit if: 

  • Degree in MBA, coupled with a technical (computer science, etc.).

  • Demonstrated leadership in leveraging strategic partners to drive both top line and bottom-line impact.

  • Proven ability to build trust and manage relationships with the C-level leadership.

  • Proven track record of executing mergers, acquisitions, and divestments to maximize value; success business integrations and carveouts.

  • Familiarity with healthcare IT and AI domain and its core ecosystem, its trends, and common inorganic accelerators to impact the business operations.

  • Familiarity with overall software value chain, and opportunities for impact.

  • Strong bias for action to navigate ambiguity, deep ownership to drive impact within and beyond scope of responsibility, and ability to earn trust externally/internally.

  • Confidence to drive speaking engagements at conferences and industry events, or publication outlets.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For this role it means working in-person at least 3 days per week. This position is based in Amsterdam.
