The Business Intelligence Analyst (Legal Bill Review Consultant) drives the quality assurance process for legal invoices, ensuring compliance with billing guidelines and accuracy of UTBMS codes. This role involves conducting detailed invoice line reviews, independently adjusting items based on legal context, and professionally resolving law firm appeals. Additionally, the consultant performs invoice review analysis for Data Service initiatives, assesses legal context in data files, and helps identify AI rule patterns to determine AI performance. Strong legal subject matter expertise and analytical skills are crucial for this hybrid, full-time position in Pune, India.
Must Have:- Drive the results of the LBACOE quality assurance process.
- Conduct review invoice lines, applying specialized legal subject matter expert knowledge.
- Verify compliance to legal billing guidelines by law firms and vendors.
- Verify accuracy of UTBMS task codes applied to invoice line items.
- Independently adjust invoice line items based on legal context, documenting reasons for adjustments.
- Forward audited and peer-reviewed legal invoices through the review chain.
- Promptly and professionally resolve law firm appeals.
- Address law firm requests for reconsideration of adjusted amounts utilizing careful judgment and legal knowledge.
- Work with law firms via legal expert-to-expert written communications to resolve disputed invoice line items.
- Efficiently and accurately review appealed legal invoice entries.
- Perform invoice review analysis for the Data Service initiative within LBACOE.
- Provide expert assessment of legal context and terminology in invoices and data files and assigned Data Service AI output.
- Understand concepts of basic LBA Data Service outputs to determine AI accuracy, precision, recall and general performance.
- Assist with identifying AI rule patterns and scenarios within data and provide analysis accordingly.
- Support internal management in documenting performance metrics for internal use and use with clients and law firms.
