Job Description

The Cloud Data Platform Architect assists Enterprise Business Intelligence to provide BI tools to NXP customers and producers. This role involves leading data design for data and analytics solutions, developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models, and translating business requirements into data models with appropriate metadata and quality standards. The architect will improve information management, update architectural principles, simplify existing data architecture, and collaborate on ETL modernization and cloud strategy, ensuring data security.
Must have:
  • Assist the Enterprise Business Intelligence to provide BI tools to NXP customers and producers.
  • Lead the data design of solutions for data and analytics.
  • Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models to support data analysis and business intelligence.
  • Translate high-level business requirements into data models and appropriate metadata, test data, and data quality standards.
  • Improve enterprise information management performance by leveraging MDM, metadata, management and information modeling.
  • Keep architectural principles and guidelines up to date and ensure these are embedded in the way engagement leads and developer work.
  • Simplify the existing data architecture, delivering reusable services and cost saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other architects in projects like ETL modernization and move to Cloud Strategy.
  • Work with business and IT security to secure data and analytic assets.

Job Description:

Responsible for leading the data design of solutions for data and analytics by develop conceptual, logical and physical data models to support data analysis and business intelligence. Translate high-level business requirements into data models and appropriate metadata, test data, and data quality standards. Improve enterprise information management performance by leveraging MDM, metadata, management and information modeling. Responsible for keeping architectural principles and guidelines up to date and ensure these are embedded in the way engagement leads and developer work. Simplify the existing data architecture, delivering reusable services and cost saving opportunities. Collaborate with other architects in projects like ETL modernization and move to Cloud Strategy and work with business and IT security to secure data and analytic assets.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, foreign equivalent or related field.

Five (5) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the job offered, Teradata DBA, Software Engineer, Architect, or related occupation.

Required skills:

Position requires five (5) years of experience in:

  • Teradata DB applications such as viewpoint, Administrator, and Manager,
  • TASM, and PDCR,
  • Data Labs, Data Mover, QueryGrid
  • SQL Assistant,
  • Utilities such as Fastload, Multiload, Tpump, and BTEQ,
  • Oracle 9i or above;
  • AWS.
