Job Description

We currently seeking a paid intern for the San Francisco Communications department for Global Publishing.  Candidates can expect to work 40 hours a week. Three days a week are required onsite in our San Francisco office. The position will begin in January through the end of March with a compensation of $24.00hr. 

 

This person should be highly motivated and well-organized, with an interest in Communications and PR. Duties will vary greatly on a daily basis and will include: management of key contacts database, drafting external communications, analytics & reporting on news cycles, coordinating and staffing events, research projects and more. This person will collaborate closely and communicate with both internal and external contacts. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Perform administrative and clerical duties including research projects, media database management, physical inventory and product mailings 
  • Collect and prepare press clips and coverage reports 
  • Prepare written and press materials under account staff supervision 
  • Provide logistical and live support for industry events and ensure that both external attendees and other communication team members have the resources they need to meet their goals 
  • Work with Ubisoft’s analytics team to help drive comprehensive recaps of press coverage; an emphasis on both qualitative and quantitative will be key 
  • Draft and oversee key communication material for press, including: pitch letters, launch program material, reviews material, event invitations, and asset delivery 
  • Email and telephone contact with members of the editorial community 
  • Bring a creative and fresh perspective to existing programs—not only run with programs that exist, but recommend additions, changes and tweaks to make programs run more efficiently and effectively

  • Familiarity with PC applications and public relations tools: Microsoft Office Suite for Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) etc. 
  • Self-confident team member who motivates and builds trust with others both internally and externally 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • Strong work ethic, including ability to own projects and organize and prioritize tasks 
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced competitive environment 
  • Quickly adapt to corporate administrative procedures
