Our Community Specialist will be a core member of our Community & Social Media (CSM) Team in PC & Console Marketing. The role is responsible for preparing and posting social media content and responding to questions from community members across social media, Steam, Reddit, and Discord for our 11+ PC and Console games and for Kwalee Gaming itself.

The ideal candidate will have some previous experience in the execution of social media and community campaigns, preferably within the games industry. They will have a passion for indie games and for utilising social media creatively and experimentally to promote our titles. They’ll be eager to learn everything about our games and be actively involved with our games’ communities to learn what type of content will excel across various social platforms. They’ll be enthusiastic about getting involved in preparing and running exciting competitions, giveaways, livestreams and other events to grow the community and keep them engaged.

Responsibilities:

    • Preparing and posting content across various social media platforms, including X (Twitter), TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, for Kwalee Gaming itself and our PC & Console titles, both published and upcoming.
    • Writing long-form announcements for Steam and other platforms to keep our communities updated about our games.
    • Responding to comments and questions from the community across social media, on Steam, and on Discord.
    • Providing informed and creative input during key planning meetings for our social media and community strategies.
    • Providing technical support during our livestreams and with content creation.
    • Being an enthusiastic and engaging participant of our livestreams to promote our games.
    • Attending key gaming events to work on our stand and promote our games.
    • Working remotely during key gaming events to provide social media support.
    • Playing our games and researching competitor products to understand how other successful PC & Console games work and what makes them successful.

Requirements:

    • Minimum of 1 years of experience working in community & social media management, preferably in the games industry.
    • Good copywriting skills.
    • Great organisational skills, prepared to learn new tools and techniques. 
    • A native understanding of written and spoken English.
    • Good communication skills.
    • A willingness to work flexibly to cover events outside of standard working hours.
    • Basic proficiency in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve, and/or equivalents preferred but not required.
