Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic Compensation Program Manager to join our Total Rewards team in a high-growth, fast-paced tech environment. This role goes beyond program administration—it’s about being a strategic business partner who brings creative, data-driven solutions to complex compensation challenges. You will collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, Finance, and business leaders to design and deliver compensation programs that are competitive, equitable, and aligned to our strategy for scaling talent and driving innovation. Key responsibilities include managing compensation programs, leading annual pay cycles, conducting market analysis, ensuring compliance, and optimizing HRIS tools.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to HRBPs and leaders on compensation strategy, pay decisions, and organizational design.
  • Provide proactive solutions to compensation challenges.
  • Manage and continuously improve compensation programs, including base pay, bonus, and support sales incentives.
  • Lead annual pay cycles (merit, bonus, equity refresh).
  • Conduct deep market benchmarking and analysis to ensure competitiveness in the tech talent market.
  • Deliver data-driven insights and recommendations to inform pay strategies, budget planning, and executive decision-making.
  • Ensure all compensation programs comply with global, federal, and state laws.
  • Partner with HR Operations and IT to optimize HRIS/compensation tools for automation, accuracy, and scale.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 6–8 years in compensation or Total Rewards, preferably in the tech sector or other high-growth industries.
  • Strong consulting and business partnering skills—able to influence at all levels.
  • Exceptional problem-solving: balances business needs, employee experience, and cost control.
  • Advanced analytics, modeling, and storytelling with data.
  • Proven experience with job architecture, equity programs, and global compensation practices.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complexity.

About the Role

You will collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, Finance, and business leaders to design and deliver compensation programs that are competitive, equitable, and aligned to our strategy for scaling talent and driving innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering & Solutions Delivery

  • Act as a trusted advisor to HRBPs and leaders on compensation strategy, pay decisions, and organizational design.
  • Provide proactive solutions to compensation challenges (e.g., market competitiveness, pay equity, retention, differentiated rewards).
  • Translate business strategy into rewards programs that support growth, innovation, and scalability.

Program Design & Execution

  • Manage and continuously improve compensation programs, including base pay, bonus, and support sales incentives.
  • Lead annual pay cycles (merit, bonus, equity refresh) with an emphasis on simplicity, scalability, and employee/manager experience.
  • Support job architecture, leveling frameworks, and career progression design to drive clarity and mobility.

Analytics & Market Intelligence

  • Conduct deep market benchmarking and analysis to ensure competitiveness in the tech talent market.
  • Deliver data-driven insights and recommendations to inform pay strategies, budget planning, and executive decision-making.
  • Monitor pay transparency and equity, driving accountability and proactive adjustments.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure all compensation programs comply with global, federal, and state laws (FLSA, pay equity, pay transparency).
  • Maintain governance standards while designing agile solutions that flex to business needs.

Technology & Process Excellence

  • Partner with HR Operations and IT to optimize HRIS/compensation tools for automation, accuracy, and scale.
  • Leverage technology to simplify manager/employee experience in rewards programs.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field; CCP preferred.
  • Experience: 6–8 years in compensation or Total Rewards, preferably in the tech sector or other high-growth industries.
  • Skills:

Base Pay Range: 182,175.00 - 267,190.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:

Base Pay Range: 146,550.00 - 214,940.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above:

Base Pay Range: 132,975.00 - 195,030.00 USD
