Major Accountabilities:
- Incorporate DFM/DFT principles into product designs to optimize manufacturability, assembly, and testing processes.
- Manage cost, mass, and timing targets for assigned projects, ensuring that design solutions meet budgetary constraints and project schedules.
- Conduct cost analysis, mass estimation, and timing planning throughout the design and development process to achieve project objectives.
- Implement and manage design changes in accordance with established change management processes and procedures.
- Utilize SolidWorks CAD software to create, modify, and analyze detailed engineering designs and models.
- Develop 3D models, assemblies, and drawings to communicate design concepts and specifications.
- Apply ANSYS simulation tools for finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to evaluate product performance, structural integrity, and thermal behavior.
- Use Altium Designer for electronic circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
- Design and develop PCBs with consideration for electrical performance, signal integrity, and manufacturability.
- Employ Mentor Graphics Xpedition software for PCB layout, routing, and design validation.
- Manage design data, documentation, and revisions using Siemens Teamcenter PLM software.
- Utilize CATIA software for advanced 3D modeling, surface design, and mechanical engineering tasks.
