Job Description

Playtech, a leading gaming industry technology company, is seeking a Field Service Engineer for its ECM Systems division. This full-time role involves extensive travel across the UK, Northern Ireland, and Republic of Ireland, with occasional international travel. The engineer will be responsible for analysing, diagnosing, resolving, installing, and maintaining ECM’s bingo equipment, including servers, networking, and tablet PCs. The role requires providing exceptional customer service, training, and accurate documentation. Candidates must have a clean UK driving license and be insurable on company vans. Mandatory safety training will be provided.
Must have:
  • Liaise on upcoming work requirements.
  • Analyse, diagnose, and resolve technical issues with ECM’s bingo equipment.
  • Carry out routine and preventative maintenance.
  • Install ECM’s equipment, including network cabling and WiFi access points.
  • Install server racks and associated equipment.
  • Install and commission tablet PCs and charging stations.
  • Update software under instruction from ECM specialists.
  • Provide exceptional face-to-face customer service.
  • Provide training and support to customers.
  • Undertake accurate and comprehensive documentation.
  • Work in accordance with instructions and Health and Safety practices.
  • Travel extensively around the UK, Northern Ireland, and Republic of Ireland.
  • Work away from home, including potential on-call weekends/evenings.
  • Work at height and move heavy equipment.
  • Complete mandatory training (PASMA, MEWP, Working at Heights, etc.).
  • Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to write and draw technical documents and charts.
  • Undertake specific site surveys.
  • Hold a clean, full UK driving license.
  • Be insurable on the company’s fleet of vans.

Your influential mission. You will...

  • Liaise with Head of Delivery and Customer Service coordinator on upcoming work requirements.
  • Analyse, diagnose and resolve technical issues with ECM’s range of installed bingo equipment (including: servers, IT and WiFi networking, tablet PC’s and associated charging stations, calling systems and the like).
  • Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on the above equipment.
  • Install ECM’s range of equipment, including: network cabling; installation of WiFi access points; installation of server racks and associated equipment; installation and commissioning of tablet PC’s and their charging stations; updating of software under instruction from ECM specialists
  • Provide exceptional customer service in face-to-face situations as ECM’s ambassador on site.
  • Provide training and support to ECM’s customers.
  • Undertake accurate and comprehensive documentation as required by ECM stakeholders.
  • Undertake all work in accordance with a) all written or verbal instructions and b) all applicable Health and Safety training and practice
  • Travel a large amount around the UK, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. There will be occasional requirements to travel further afield, e.g. Gibraltar, Europe, US. It must be expected that this role will involve a great deal of time working away from home including the possibility of on-call work at weekends and evenings.
  • Work at height as well as moving (with assistance where necessary) heavy and bulky equipment.
  • Be required to carry out mandatory training in e.g. PASMA, MEWP, Working at Heights, Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, Lithium Battery safety, and other related courses which must be successfully undertaken during the probationary period.
  • Have excellent interpersonal communication skills, the ability to write and draw technical documents and charts, and to undertake specific site surveys as required by internal stakeholders.
