Philips is seeking a Field Service Engineer for Connected Care to support customers by providing maintenance and installation for HealthTech products (Hospital & Ambulatory Monitoring solutions) within an assigned geographical area. The role involves building customer trust, communicating effectively, resolving issues with urgency, managing company assets, and maintaining technical knowledge. Candidates should have a background in electronics or biomedical engineering, understand electronic, mechanical, and networking theory, and possess strong communication skills in English and Italian, with availability to travel.

  • Communicate regularly with customers and internal stakeholders regarding equipment issues.
  • Demonstrate urgency in identifying and resolving customer issues, following escalation processes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, adhering to entitlements and meeting commitments.
  • Manage company assets effectively, including labour time, parts, tools, and expenditures.
  • Be qualified in at least one modality and maintain knowledge of technical advances.
  • Independently resolve equipment and customer issues.
  • Possess a BA Degree or vocational certification in electronics, biomedical equipment servicing/engineering, or equivalent.
  • Understand and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory for equipment installation, diagnosis, and repair.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English and Italian.
  • Available to travel.

Field Service Engineer

Supporting the technical needs of Philips customers, providing maintenance and installation to HealthTech products & services (Hospital & Ambulatory Monitoring solutions), maximizing customer satisfaction by seeking opportunities to support our customers further and deliver value within an an assigned geographical area.

Your role:

  • Build credibility and trust with customers by conducting pro-active customer visits.
  • Provide appropriate, timely, and regular communications to customer and internal key stakeholders regarding customer and equipment issues.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency to identify and resolve customer issues. Follow the appropriate escalation process.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by adhering to customer entitlements, setting clear expectations, meeting commitments and arrival times. Understand customer's business and competitive environment.
  • Manage company assets effectively in accordance with established Philips processes and guidelines including labour time, parts ordering and returns, tools and test equipment calibration, purchase orders, equipment, company vehicles, business expenditures, etc.
  • Must be qualified and perform work in at least one modality, but may be asked to become qualified in and perform work in multiple modalities. Maintains knowledge of technical advances and current industry trends, seeking out formal and informal training opportunities.
  • Independently resolve equipment and customer issues.

You're the right fit if you have:

  • BA Degree or High school graduate or vocational certification in electronics, biomedical equipment servicing/engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience in the electronics industry, preferably in a Health Tech environment.
  • Understand and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose and repair equipment including knowledge and use of all necessary tools and test equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills, self-disciplined and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to effectively operate in a team driven environment to achieve assigned goals and objectives.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work requirements in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English in addition to Italian as local language.
  • Available to travel

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.

Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This role is a field role.
