Game Mathematician

ELK Studios is a leading game developer in iGaming, known for innovative and popular titles such as Pirots, Cygnus, Gold, and the Nitropolis series. We push the boundaries of what slots can be and are now looking for more people with the will and ability to create games that stand out!

About the role

As a Game Mathematician, you play a significant role in how the game mechanics in our slot games come to life. You are responsible for configuring and balancing the games so that they are both engaging and fair. Together with Product Owners and the team, you ensure that game balance and vision go hand in hand.

Your work days will consist of:

• Building and balancing game experiences: Configuring, testing, and fine-tuning games to create wholeness and gaming joy.
• Close collaboration with Product Owners and the product team: Ensuring the game holds together from idea to finished experience.
• Clear communication: Presenting your ideas and proposals in an understandable and inspiring way to the product team and Product Owner.

Who are you?

We believe you love games and have a feel for what makes a game experience truly great. You are good with numbers, but above all, you use your skills to build experiences that players want to return to.

To succeed in the role, you need to be:

• Genuinely interested in slots and gambling – you understand what attracts and retains players
• Very skilled in Excel and accustomed to working with complex configurations
• Analytical and have good knowledge of probability theory and statistics
• Creative and driven – you enjoy problem-solving and experimenting to find the best solutions
• Structured and meticulous with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Communicative – you express yourself clearly, both in writing and orally, in Swedish and English
• Technically interested and have experience with scripting and software configuration

• Previous experience working with slot games
