Job Description

Golf Digest Editorial Intern (Summer 2025) in NYC. This paid internship offers hands-on experience in content creation and ideation for Golf Digest's digital platforms. Responsibilities include supporting the Course-Ranking Panelists program, producing content aligned with Golf Digest's brand pillars (Where to Play, What to Play, How to Play), contributing to special projects like course reviews, and shadowing various aspects of the business. The ideal candidate has writing/editing experience, strong communication skills, a passion for golf and digital media, and knowledge of the PGA Tour. The internship is 11 weeks long (June-August), 35-40 hours/week, and requires a rising junior or senior status with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Golf Digest Editorial intern: NYC - Summer 2025

Your New Role 

This internship will be located in the NYC area. The selected intern will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager’s in office schedule. 

Golf Digest has the largest audience in golf—with the No. 1 website in terms of monthly and yearly traffic, the largest reach on our social channels and a magazine with the biggest distribution in the world. GolfDigest.com produces web-first content to speak to our huge audience, focusing on our brand’s pillars: Where to Play, What to Play and How to Play, as well as covering the major professional tours and the amateur game. Our spring editorial content intern will be given the opportunity to ideate and produce content regularly as well as contribute to special projects including but not limited to Golf Digest’s newly launched franchise, our Course Reviews, golf’s new digital hub of where to play.

  
Your Role Accountabilities 

  • Ideate content to create to help contribute to Golf Digest's day-to-day content operations.

  • Support Golf Digest's Course-Ranking Panelists program, a group of 1,800+ course raters who are one of the brand's most valued consumer group.

  • Produce ideas that are core to the ethos of service of golfers—Where to Play, How to Play and What to Play.

  • Shadow all parts of our business to gain a comprehensive understanding of how our brand operates.

  • Contribute editing and writing skills to fully grow as a content producer and ideator.

 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Past writing or editing experience.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Be passionate about golf and knowledgeable about the digital golf media space.

  • Passion about the PGA Tour and other professional tours is a bonus. 

  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required) 

  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior (18 years or older) 

  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA) A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended. 

  • Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.

What to know before applying: 

  • The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks.   

  • Program date options: 

Option 1: June 2nd – August 15th  

Option 2: June 9th – August 22nd   

  • Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity 

  • Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.  

  • Interviewing will take place from February through mid-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
