This is a 3-month paid internship opportunity for an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO, for Summer 2026. The intern will assist in developing innovative processes, designing tools, supporting training, and improving manufacturing processes for existing and new products. The role involves basic project development tasks, process characterization, and validation. Candidates should be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, possess strong mechanical reasoning skills, and have a successful record in school or internship projects.
Good To Have:
  • Previous internship experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Intermediate CAD proficiency (SolidWorks)
  • Intermediate proficiency using a statistics software (Minitab, MATLAB etc)
  • Some machine shop experience
Must Have:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Biomedical
  • Strong mechanical reasoning skills in identifying and solving problems, developing innovative solutions, acting decisively, and showing good judgement
  • Successful record of accomplishment executing school and/or internship projects
  • Ability to successfully perform minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements

Intern - Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - Colorado Springs, CO - Summer 2026

Are you interested in an Internship opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in a 3 month paid intern opportunities at our site in Colorado. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.

Your role

  • Assist in developing innovative processes, concepts, and design approaches for existing as well as new products and processes
  • Undertake basic project development tasks such as writing and verifying specifications, maintaining process and product documentation, testing and validating new processes, equipment, and product prototypes.
  • Help design, procure, and build simple tools and fixtures
  • Support training of technicians and operators on new processes or test methods
  • Help identify, improve, and solve problems linked to existing and new manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Support the execution of new product development efforts for process characterization and validation
  • Assist in acquiring and implementing new technologies to support both production and R&D
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of quality, delivery, and cost through effective use of lean manufacturing principles

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Biomedical

  • Previous internship experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Philips Transparency Details

The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 to $28.00, plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
