Job Description
Voodoo's Carbon music streaming app seeks a Music Publishing Associate Intern. Responsibilities include creating and launching innovative marketing campaigns, community management (social media content creation and editing), competitor research and benchmarking, sourcing high-potential labels and distributors, onboarding and relationship nurturing. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and communication skills, a proven social media track record, experience with editing/motion design tools, and excellent interpersonal skills. Fluency in English and French is required. A passion for the music industry and proficiency in Adobe Suite, Figma/Sketch, and CapCut are pluses.

Starting with a focus on Electronic music and with a goal to expand to other genres in the future, Carbon is completely rethinking the music streaming model to remunerate artists better, offer a brand new experience for music discovery, and much more.
Carbon is divided into Publishing (sourcing artists and providing top content), Product (developing the platform), and Growth (user acquisition).You would be integrating the Publishing team.
Role
- Create and launch original and innovative marketing campaigns that stand out and captivate audiences
- Act as a community manager and create and edit social media content
- Conduct research and benchmark what our competitors are doing, experiment new ideas
- Source high-potential labels and distributors
- Onboard labels and distributors once signed and nurture the business relationship
Profile
- Top-tier engineering or business school
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Track record in generating traction with social media contentExperience in using editing and motion design tools to produce creative content
- Great interpersonal skills and ability to give and receive feedback
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Figma/Sketch and Capcut is a plus
- Passionate about music and the music industry
- Fluent in English and French
