Job Description

The Junior Category Trade Marketing Manager will be responsible for engaging and promoting effective communication between marketing and channel trade teams. This role involves reviewing and directing monthly demand and the company's innovation operational plan, influencing Gross-to-Net allocation. Key tasks include developing communication channels, translating brand planning into actionable trade strategies, coordinating annual trade story decks for Joint-Business-Plans, and defining product mix and pricing.

  • Seek and develop effective communication channels and forums with marketing, dComm, GC, Shopper, Channel Trade, and Sales teams.
  • Ensure the 'Out Execute' pillar of Brand Planning is translated into actionable trade strategies by brand/category and channel, with a clear vision of what drives brand and category growth, and promotional level direction for categories.
  • Bring channel trade direction for alignment during the Brand Planning process so that strategic choices are executable, monitored, and measured.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the annual trade story deck that serves as the basis for building JBPs (Joint-Business-Plans) led by channel trade.
  • Direct and influence brand needs and strategies in the development of POS materials.
  • Define product mix direction, price positioning, and distribution targets by channel based on clear premises.
  • Co-lead the monthly demand review process with the marketing team, with a detailed understanding of category and brand plans and movements in sales channels/market.
  • Creation and development of targets, trade story, and go-to-market plan for product innovations, including influencing packaging improvements.
  • Definition of commercial activities with channel trade, as well as directing and influencing the strategy of POS materials from a shopper/client perspective.
  • Monitor the development of product support materials.
  • Monitor the development of content for training and events.

The Junior Category Trade Marketing Manager will be responsible for engaging and promoting effective communication between marketing and channel trade; in addition to reviewing and directing monthly demand and the company's innovation operational plan, influencing Gross-to-Net allocation:

Main responsibilities:

  • Seek and develop effective communication channels and forums with the marketing, dComm, GC, Shopper, Channel Trade, and Sales teams;
  • Ensure that the 'Out Execute' pillar of Brand Planning is translated into actionable trade strategies by brand/category and by channel with a clear vision of what truly drives brand and category growth, directing the promotional level of the categories;
  • Bring channel trade direction for alignment during the Brand Planning process so that strategic choices are executable, monitored, and measured;

Why YOU?

Your qualifications:

  • Completed Higher Education;
  • Languages required for this position: English: Intermediate/Advanced;
  • Experience in Category Trade;
  • Experience in FMCG/FMCH, preferably in the commercial area (sales, trade, marketing) or equivalent areas (sales productivity, NRM/pricing, market intelligence);
  • Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint;
  • Differentiators: Excel macro development, knowledge of IQVIA, Nielsen, Scanntech, PowerBI, Dunnhumby, Symphony
