Job Description

The Key Account Manager, on a fixed-term contract until March 2026, will strengthen the commercial team, focusing on end-of-year results and 2026 negotiations. The manager will be the primary contact for assigned client accounts, mainly in GSA, tasked with developing and optimizing results.   • Fluent French and English.

Job Description

We are looking for a Key Account Manager on a fixed-term contract until March 2026 to strengthen the team for the end of the year and 2026 negotiations, results-oriented and with excellent analytical and negotiation skills to join our commercial team.

You will be the privileged contact for assigned client accounts, mainly in GSA (Large Food Retail), with the mission of developing and optimizing results. You will be based in Paris or near Paris.

Main responsibilities:

Good client understanding and file management:

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of client accounts and manage all associated files.
  • Establish and maintain a relationship of trust with contacts in the purchasing center.

Market analysis and performance monitoring:

  • Conduct analyses on the performance of the portfolio brands.
  • Identify growth opportunities, priority action levers.

Achieving objectives and KPI monitoring:

  • Ensure the achievement of commercial objectives.
  • Implement rigorous KPI tracking.

Central Negotiations:

  • Lead commercial negotiations with purchasing centers.
  • Establish lasting partnership relations.
  • Regular verification of the execution of counterparts.

Implementation of corrective action plans:

  • Design and deploy corrective action plans in case of performance deviations.
  • Mobilize internal resources for the implementation of necessary actions.

Expense control:

  • Manage budgets related to account activity: general expenses and promotional investments.
  • Ensure effective cost control while maximizing results.

Qualifications

Required skills for the position

  • Sales and negotiation skills, preferably acquired in an international company with strong seasonality.
  • Analytical skills and results-oriented.
  • Ability to promote collaboration, innovation, and execution.
  • Ability to create successful teamwork and work in a dynamic environment with deadlines.
  • Ease in connecting with different departments and stakeholders to seize all opportunities (buyers, marketing, trade marketing).
  • Good influencing and communication skills, highly competitive spirit, and customer orientation.
  • Proactivity, positive and innovative spirit, and ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication.
  • Fluent French and English.
  • Excellent office skills, especially Excel.

Experience

  • 4 years of experience.
  • Experience within a commercial department or in distribution (buyer).
  • Commercial/Marketing experience, ideally in an international environment and in competitive, highly seasonal markets.
