A Payroll Analyst responsible for processing biweekly, multi-state payroll for over 1,800 employees using Workday. This role requires a critical thinker with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and timeliness, managing daily payroll tasks, ensuring data integrity, and assisting with reporting and system improvements. The analyst will also act as a back-up to the Head of US Payroll.

Must Have:
  • Process biweekly, multi-state payroll for 1,800+ employees.
  • Manage daily payroll tasks: retroactive transactions, one-time payments, EIB files, on/off-boarding, inputs.
  • Ensure payroll data consistency and integrity.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company data.
  • Complete periodic and ad-hoc payroll reporting.
  • Follow and contribute to Payroll Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assist with testing and implementing new payroll technology and procedures.
  • Monitor Workday Payroll module efficiency and functionality.
  • Provide high-level customer service for employee payroll questions.
  • Identify and escalate payroll problems or concerns.
  • Support and back-up the Head of US Payroll.
  • 3+ years experience in US Payroll operations, multi-state payroll preferred.
  • Hands-on experience or training in Workday Payroll.
  • Dedication to compliance with all applicable laws/regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills.

Position Summary:

A Payroll Analyst who will be responsible for processing the company’s biweekly, multi-state payroll for 1,800+ exempt and non-exempt employees through Workday. A critical thinker who can work independently with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. Acts as back-up to the Head of US Payroll.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage day-to-day payroll processing tasks including, but not limited to, completing retroactive transactions, confirming one-time payments, uploading EIB mass transaction files, payroll on/off-boarding, and entering payroll inputs
  • Ensure consistency and integrity in payroll data
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company data
  • Complete periodic and ad-hoc reporting
  • Follow all Payroll Standard Operating Procedures and contribute to the on-going creation and maintenance of those procedures
  • Assist with testing and implementation of new technology and procedures
  • Monitor the efficiency and functionality of the Workday Payroll module and make recommendations for improvements as needed
  • Answer employee questions promptly with a high level of customer service.
  • Identify payroll problems or concerns and escalate to the Head of US Payroll
  • Act as support and back-up for the Head of US Payroll

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in US Payroll operations, ideally with multi-state payroll
  • Hands-on experience with or documented training in Workday Payroll
  • Dedication to maintaining compliance with all applicable laws/regulations
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills, with a proactive and employee-focused mindset
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new or changing business needs
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
  • Open and clear communicator with strong written and verbal skills
  • Proficient technical skills
  • FPC or CPP preferred

The expected base salary range for this position is from $63,000-$80,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
