Job Description

The People Greeter provides exceptional customer service, assisting with salesfloor operations to ensure a positive shopping experience and foster customer loyalty. Key responsibilities include greeting customers, promoting friendly service at the store entrance/exit, participating in loss prevention by verifying purchases and reporting suspicious behavior, and ensuring customers have shopping tools like carts and flyers. The role also involves directing customers to store areas and maintaining a safe work environment.
Must Have:
  • Provide and promote friendly and fast service for every customer both incoming and outgoing at the store front.
  • Participate as a Loss Prevention team player by attaching return tickets, verifying large outbound purchases, observing and reporting suspicious behaviors, and reacting to code ADAM pages.
  • Understand and follow the EAS Program, reacting courteously to alarms and logging incidents.
  • Ensure customers have necessary shopping tools including carts, baskets, and flyers.
  • Advise customers and direct them to respective areas of the store.
  • Contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment.
  • Age 16 or older.

Position Summary...

To provide exceptional customer service and assist in salesfloor operations in order to ensure a positive shopping experience and drive customer loyalty.

What you'll do...

1. Provides and promotes friendly and fast service for every customer both incoming and outgoing at the store front through positioning at the entrance/exit door.

2. Participates as a Loss Prevention team player by:. Attaching return tickets to all merchandise entering the store, identifying large outbound purchases such as electronics and verifying the customers receipt (item and date), observing and reporting any suspicious behaviors to Management and Loss Prevention and reacting to code ADAM pages as per the guidelines.

3. Understands and follows the EAS Program by reacting courteously to all fail to deactivate alarms and assists in identifying the root cause and logging the incident, bringing any system failures to the management teams attention for service.

4. Ensures customers have the necessary tools for shopping including carts, baskets and flyers.

5. Advises customers and seeks assistance from sales associates to direct customers to respective areas of the store and provides information.

6. Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures. The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.00. Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
