Zeeco seeks a Production Engineer in Wada to monitor project progress, prepare catch-up plans for delayed jobs, and coordinate project materials and shortfalls. The role involves coordinating with production, planning, and purchasing departments for equipment follow-up, managing subcontracting activities and inspections, and evaluating daily production progress. Responsibilities include planning daily/weekly/monthly production work, developing new vendors, participating in ISO audits, maintaining ISO systems, and preparing daily work reports and schedules. The engineer will also prepare manufacturing schedules, plate cutting layouts, material requisitions, and lists of balance materials. Monitoring and maintaining billing status, coordinating blasting and painting activities, and conducting project review meetings with vendors are also key duties. The role requires sending inquiries, obtaining technical offers, evaluating techno-commercial comparisons, and converting them into purchase orders below estimated costs. Timely coordination with purchase order owners for smooth manufacturing flow, handling outsourcing processes (machining, fabrication, heat treatment, etc.), and scheduling various processes are essential. Raw material planning for fabrication at vendor shops, preparing drawings, negotiating prices and delivery schedules, and conducting vendor visits with quality checks are also part of the job. Cross-functional coordination to resolve job-related queries and subcontracting job components requiring machining are included. Management of fabricated subcontract jobs, making rate contracts, and developing new vendors are expected. Any other activity related to production and planning within the Wada factory and vendor premises, along with other assigned tasks, will be undertaken.
