Job Description

Google Customer Solutions (GCS) seeks a Senior Account Executive for Mid-Market Sales in China. The role requires fluency in English and Mandarin to manage Chinese enterprise clients, agencies, or customers. Responsibilities include managing a portfolio of businesses, identifying growth opportunities, developing multi-quarter plans, delivering excellent customer experiences, coaching junior teammates, collaborating with specialists and product teams to define business goals, and establishing partnerships with executives. The ideal candidate possesses 8+ years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or IT, with 4+ years specifically managing Chinese clients. A deep understanding of online marketing strategies and digital advertising products is essential. The role involves strategic problem-solving, effective communication, and building strong client relationships.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of industry experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or IT.
  • 4 years of experience in managing Chinese enterprise clients, agencies or customers.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context, and ability to achieve goals to drive growth.
  • Experience working with advertisers, agencies, or clients, and influencing C-level stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of traditional and online marketing strategy and tactics, and product knowledge across all digital advertising products.
  • Ability to strategically assess and solve customer needs via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling and engaged selling.
  • Ability to exhibit thought leadership and executive functioning within the digital marketing space.
  • Ability to build narratives and utilize storytelling as an engagement strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a group of businesses by understanding what promotes, growth, identify opportunities for growth, manage risks and create multi-quarter plans for growth.
  • Prioritize and deliver an excellent customer experience to Google's advertisers.
  • Coach junior teammates in the organization to become more proactive and expand skills that cultivate customers growth and contribute to overall team success.
  • Generate plans by collaborating with specialists, engineers and product teams, and define business goals, strategies and metrics for success.
  • Establish a partnership with executives and serve as a trusted consultant to optimize and expand the advertising investment.
