The Senior Manager, Digital Product Operations will join the Consumer Operations Design Team, overseeing end-to-end coordination of user interface design and implementation. This role involves managing design schedules, tracking deliverables, and setting priorities across the UI design team. Responsibilities include facilitating meetings, ensuring timely task completion, and potentially managing a team of Producers. The manager will lead resource management, collaborate on UI and design system guidelines, and ensure quality assurance for UI design. They will also organize cross-functional meetings, manage vendor relationships, and oversee content delivery workflows, connecting design, engineering, operations, business strategy, and content.

Overview

The Consumer Operations Design Team is seeking a Design Program Manager with exceptional attention to detail, a sharp design sensibility, the ability to manage multiple workstreams, and a talent for quickly understanding complex workflows and priorities.

In this role, you’ll oversee the end-to-end coordination of user interface design and implementation—bringing structure, clarity, and forward momentum to projects that span research, design, content management, project management, budgeting, and quality assurance.

What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Create and manage design schedules, track deliverables, and help set clear priorities across the user interface design team.
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings to align on goals, assignments, and progress—driving clarity and accountability across the team.
  • Follow up on action items and ensure tasks are completed on time and to spec.
  • In the future manage a small team of Producers.
  • Lead resource management efforts for the design team, working across departments to align expectations, timelines, and staffing needs.
  • Collaborate with designers to implement UI and design system guidelines across digital tools and experiences.
  • Oversee quality assurance for UI design, production, and implementation—ensuring pixel precision, usability, and consistency across all deliverables.
  • Organize and lead cross-functional meetings with teams such as product, engineering, marketing, documentation, and QA to communicate design plans, manage dependencies, and resolve roadblocks.
  • Manage vendor relationships—owning timelines, quality standards, and budget oversight for outsourced work.
  • Oversee content delivery workflows to ensure design and copy are delivered with accuracy, clarity, and efficiency.
  • Operate fluidly across disciplines—connecting the dots between design, engineering, operations, business strategy, and content.

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Fremont, California.
  • The responsibilities of this role require days attendance at in-person meetings and events.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ years of experience in software or digital product development environments
  • Be a great people manager.
  • Proven success in program or project management, content production, and cross-functional coordination
  • Working knowledge of user interface, interaction, and visual design principles
  • Experience supporting fast-paced, collaborative teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with project management and productivity tools (e.g., Figma, Jira, Asana, Confluence, Google Workspace, etc.)

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $160,000.00 - $192,500.00

Initial California base salary range = $176,000.00 - $211,750.00
