Senior Motion & Content Designer

We seek a skilled and innovative designer to join our client's automotive design studio. As a motion and content designer, you will create animated and static content for various applications including exterior and interior lighting.

You are a passionate designer and creator and have a strong eye for graphic design compositions complementing vehicle shape and form with a high attention to detail.

You will work within the Technology & Innovation department a cross-functional team where interdisciplinary focus, curiosity and drive are highly valued. We work in close collaboration with all other design departments shaping the mobility experience of the future.

The selected candidate is responsible for:

• Visualizing and producing static and animated content from sketch to implementation.
• Creating world class 2D/3D visuals, animations, and motion graphics
• Exploring new ways of aligning graphics and motion with the interior & exterior of the car
• Conceptualize your ideas in deliverable material with exceptional attention to detail and structure
• Creating and presenting design concepts and proposals to stakeholders, incorporating feedback and refining designs as necessary.
• Collaborating with design and engineering teams to ensure successful delivery and integration of designs
• Make sure Visuals/Motion Design are aligned with all technical constraints and regulations
• Delivering specifications of Visual/Motion to suppliers
• Interface with all stakeholders connected to your developments

Qualifications and skills required for the role:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design or Interaction Design.
• 8+ years experience as motion and 3D artist
• Strong design portfolio and/or show reel demonstrating a variety of static and animated designs
• Excellent visual and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present and communicate design concepts.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality content.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Experience in the automotive lighting design industry is a plus, with a focus on interactive elements for interior and exterior lighting systems.

Software and IT:

• Adobe suite and very strong knowledge of After Effects & Premiere
• Proficient in Figma
• 3D modelling, animation and rendering softwares (Vred / Blender or C4d)
• Please state in your application software used and level of competence from 0-5 (0 = no knowledge).

Strong drive, communicative with good leadership skills, independent and confident as well as a good team player. Creative and innovative but structured, methodical, and analytical with good planning skills. Flexible and able to work under constrained time schedules and frequently revised circumstances.

Other:

• The assignment will take place in Gothenburg and our client has an ‘office first’ environment with some flexibility to WFH
• Travel to China may be needed (approx. 2-3 trips per year).
• Everyone in our team has a high level of responsibility and mandate and is expected to be able to work autonomously.
