Senior System Engineer

Scorewarrior is a game developer and publisher from Limassol, Cyprus. The company is focused on the 4X strategy genre with an ambitious goal to grow it’s hit game Total Battle to become the No.1 strategy game in the world. Our product: We are currently working on Total Battle. Total Battle is an MMO 4X strategy game with a deep political system and lots of player interaction. Players take on the role of a commander and need to develop their city, forge alliances, fight against monsters, and conquer other players.

We are looking for a System Engineer of the Middle level or higher to our DevOps/SRE team. Here you will deal with the tasks of infrastructure and internal services (monitoring, logging, storing secrets, etc.). We are not engaged in CI/CD, for this we have the DevExp team.

Tasks to be solved:

• Being responsible for the development and support of a specific segment of our infrastructure.
• Support infrastructure inside GCP.
• Administer PostgresSQL clusters.
• Regularly participate in duties to support the infrastructure, including solving emerging problems and incidents on production.
• Research new technologies and tools to improve product infrastructure.
• Actively participate in internal team discussions to address problems and select new technologies.
• Develop technical proposals (RFCs) and documentation.
• Share knowledge and experience with other team members to contribute to their professional growth.

You will need the following skills to work:

• Experience with cloud providers, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with a preference for Ansible or Terraform.
• Experience with SQL databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
• Experience in Linux administration.
• Familiarity with monitoring systems, preferably Grafana and Victoria Metrics.
• Experience with scripting using Bash, Python, or other common languages.
• Experience with Docker/ContainerD.
• Knowledgeable in Kubernetes and understanding of its operational principles.
